The Contra Costa Crisis Center was presented with a check from Tri-Valley NonProfit Alliance. This is grant money that will go toward our Call Center’s work in helping individuals experiencing domestic violence. We couldn't be more grateful!

Look for us this Wednesday, July 17th when the Contra Costa Crisis Center will host a table at Summer Night of Service and Volunteer Fair hosted by JustServe.org and the Danville California Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint.

This is for kids, youths, and adults who want to connect with and volunteer with local non-profits.

988 serves as a universal entry point so that no matter where you live in the United States, you can reach a caring, trained counselor who can help.

988 offers 24/7 access to trained crisis counselors who can help people experiencing mental health-related distress. That could be:
* Thoughts of su***de
* Mental health or substance use crises
* Emotional distress

🌞 Residents seeking relief from the dangerously hot conditions can find resources and information by visiting the County website: Contracosta.ca.gov.

The County site includes an interactive map of places to cool and cooling centers. The County is updating these locations on an ongoing basis.

The site also provides health safety tips, transportation information, and additional resources and links to help County residents get through the next several days of well-above-normal temperatures that may lead to compounding effects.
Anyone concerned about heat-related illness should contact their healthcare providers or, if it's an emergency, call 911.

People who are experiencing homelessness and need help can call 211 from anywhere in Contra Costa County to be connected to services.

All Contra Costa can also call 211 for information about transportation to places to cool.
