Washington Ethical Society
~ a humanist congregation coming together to celebrate & support each other through life ~ Our congregation was established in 1944. You are welcome here.
The Washington Ethical Society (WES) is a humanistic congregation that affirms the worth of every person. We are members of both the American Ethical Union (www.aeu.org) and the Unitarian Universalist Association (www.uua.org). We gather every Sunday in our Main Hall for a service at 10:30. It typically lasts about an hour. There is often Sunday School for kids downstairs in our classrooms. We also have many active groups that we hope you'll check out! Come join us!

On Saturday June 29th, 2024, we will join thePoor People's Campaign as they return to D.C. for the Mass Poor People's and Low-Wage Workers' Assembly and Moral March on Washington and to the Polls.
You can join a historic assembly of impacted poor and low-wage workers, representatives from over thirty state coordinating committees, leaders from major religious organizations and denominations, labor unions, and other advocates as we kick off four months of outreach to 15 million poor and low-wage infrequent voters.
Now is a good time to ask your congregational networks who will attend and start planning bus, carpool, train, and lodging logistics.
Tell us about your expected participation in this survey:

In a world filled with division and challenges, the theme for this year's General Assembly is a powerful reminder of the core principles that unite us as Unitarian Universalists.
"Love Unites, Stories Ignite" celebrates the profound impact of love as a binding force that transcends boundaries and fosters connections within our faith community and beyond. Our faith has always been rooted in the power of storytelling, and this year we'll explore how our stories can ignite change, inspire compassion, and help us build a more just and equitable world.
The 63rd General Assembly will take place virtually Thursday, June 20 through Sunday, June 23, 2024.
Registration for GA is already open. Learn more at https://bit.ly/3wI2fRF.
