📣Twelve high school seniors got a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of City Hall during Youth Day. They met with Watervliet city officials, including the mayor, council members, finance administrator, police and fire chiefs, city court judge and others, to learn about the roles of elected officials, department heads and municipal workers. The students also toured city facilities, including the fire department where they climbed onto the ladder truck for a birds-eye view of the city. Senior Night❗️ Before the start of tonight's home games – we proudly recognized the senior members of our baseball and softball teams.🎉We will miss your leadership, your skills and most of all your smiles! 🤩 Thank you Justin, Chris, Jacob and Jeremy ⚾️ Jaden and Ayla 🥎 for your commitment to the Cannoneers baseball and softball programs. The Vliet MasterMinds team competed in their final Masterminds and Chess tournament on Tuesday, April 16. 🤩Team members battled in three different games, dropping a close last match to the Emma Willard team by a score of 70-75. While waiting their turn between matches, students kept their minds sharp by playing a strategy-oriented board game called Settlers of Catan.

🎉 WTEN News10 recently interviewed Watervliet High School junior LaJay York, who is blazing her own trail in the Welding and Metal Fabrication program at Capital Region BOCES. LaJay is one of four female students enrolled in the welding program, a skilled trade that historically has lacked female representation. 🤩

Our 2nd Annual International Night was a huge success, bringing together 23 countries with music, dance, games, and delicious food! Thank you to everyone who made this night so special! ❤️

What do you get for making high honor roll for two consecutive marking periods? An ice-skating party, of course! Recently, 75 honors students enjoyed an afternoon on the ice at the Hockey Facility. ⛸🏒 Looks like fun! 🤩
