Today we celebrate National HIV Testing Day & encourage those who are sexually active to get tested for HIV.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that sexually active people get tested at least once a year and include testing as part of their routine healthcare 🎗️

Screening and prevention for all women!

Task force updates guidance for breast cancer screenings for women 40 and older | CNN Women are now advised to get a mammogram every other year starting at age 40 and until age 74, according to new recommendations from the US Preventive Services Task Force.

Please note that CWH utilizes our patient portal for most daily patient correspondence; please use the portal to send Nursing or General questions.

About Kelsey Barnickle:

Kelsey Barnickle, APRN, graduated as a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washburn University in 2010. She then worked in the hospital as a nurse in labor and delivery and pediatrics.

After working several years as a nurse, Kelsey then decided she wanted to do more with her nursing career so went back to school and graduated as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Ball State University in July 2016. Kelsey is board-certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). As a Nurse Practitioner, Kelsey has experience in pediatrics, as well as primary care services, where she worked at GraceMed and Hunter Health for 5 years.

For the past year, Kelsey has been working at ANew, LLC focusing on mental health. Kelsey is excited to bring all of her past experiences to focus on women’s health.

Kelsey is married and a mom to 3 very active boys. When they are not at sports practices and games, she and her family enjoy hiking, skiing, road trips, and relaxing on the beach.

Together, we can create safe and respectful environments for everyone. Let's use our voices to break the silence surrounding sexual violence. By sharing resources, and information, we can make a difference!
