Friends of McConnell was fortunate to have Robin Spurrier serve many years as a board member. His servant leadership made Wichita and McConnell Air Force Base a better place.

We are saddened by Robin's recent passing, but proud to provide a donation in his honor towards the military exhibit at Kansas Aviation Museum.

Wichita Regional Chamber of CommerceW - A Community of Young Professionals

Each year, McConnell Air Force Base organizes a Cookie Drop to provide items to each single Airman living in the dorms. These gifts help provide a sense of home to many young men and women who may be spending their first holiday season away from home.

Thank you to Rage Jerky, from Hutchinson, for partnering with Friends of McConnell to provide beef snacks to all 233 Airmen living in the dorms.

Our many community parters are vital to making our McConnell team part of the local community.

This morning the 184th Wing welcomed Friends of McConnell members to McConnell Air Force Base to learn about the wing mission.

Thank you to Kansas Aviation Museum for hosting a wonderful event for our visitors from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. Eighteen senior level military and civilian leaders take part in the National Defense University program. They spent two days at McConnell Air Force Base and seeing local industry leaders.

We appreciate our Honorary Commanders, Golden Eagles, Friends of McConnell members and civic leaders attending the event. These opportunities improve McConnell and South Central Kansas’ ability to better serve our national defense efforts.
