It’s known for causing uncontrollable coughing which can make it hard to breathe. Vaccination is the best way to protect against pertussis. There are vaccines for all age groups, and especially pregnant people. The childhood vaccine is called DTaP, and the booster for adolescents and adults is called Tdap!
