There's a high risk of rip currents in our area this weekend—if you're at the beach, make sure you know what to do if you encounter one. Find more tips: ReadyNHC.com

🌊 Relax, rip currents don’t pull you under
🏊‍♀️ Don’t swim against the current
🚫 If in doubt, don’t go out

❗️ A high risk of rip currents is in effect for the ENTIRE Southeast coastline today due to swells from Hurricane , which arrived early this morning. Please stay out of the water this weekend. http://weather.gov/beach

If it seems we've been excessive with the messaging of dangerous surf this weekend it is because we want everyone to make it home alive. Too many people have drowned due to rip currents from distant storms. Enjoy the sand and the sound of the waves.

Debby may be gone, but the mosquitoes still haven't gotten the hint 😒 Take some time this weekend to any standing water around your home or business 🦟

Mosquitoes love to lay eggs in standing water, so the method goes a long way when it comes to at-home mosquito prevention, especially after a week of tropical storms and heavy rainfall.
