The Kiwanis International Convention meeting in Denver recently passed the Amendment to raise International dues to $77 (an increase for which we have already budgeted and anticipated). In addition, the number of International Trustees will be reduced from 15 to 12, a member from outside a District’s region will be able to serve as District Trustee if no one from within the region is willing or able to serve, and Kiwanis International Board members can continue to use Kiwanis revenue to fund alcohol purchased and first class/business class air fare when on Kiwanis business. Apparently not discussed was Amendment 8 which would have allowed secure remote voting on future proposed Amendments and Resolutions at the International Conventions.
Please congratulate John Wells as Kiwanian of the Month for July. His tireless efforts in the continuing administration of grants funded by PanJam that benefit so many children are greatly appreciated.
The Twin City Kiwanis Club will meet on Wednesday July 17th at Raven K**b Scout Camp. Directions to Raven K**b are available at this link.
