In Masiphumelele, a township of the Western Cape, MASICORP works hard to empower residents in disadvantaged positions. They achieve this through education, which is โ€“ in their own words โ€“ the surest route out of poverty.

During our recent round of the nonprofit photography programme, we witnessed Masicorpโ€™s meaningful work at one of their โ€œLife Skillsโ€ programmes. This programme is provided in partnership with Evangeline Ministries. It runs for 6 weeks and teaches basic English, computer and sewing skills to enhance the womenโ€™s everyday lives and help them gain self-confidence and pride in their work. โœจ
