🚨 Help Needed: New Office and Meeting Room Construction! 🚨

Our clinic is in desperate need of a new office and meeting room. We’ve been generously donated 2 Wendy houses (3x3 meters each) that we plan to combine into a 3x6 meter office space.

We need skilled hands to help us with:

- Laying the foundation
- Constructing and assembling the Wendy houses
- Installing a new roof
- Adding necessary installations and some electrical work

If you have experience in construction or know someone who can assist, please get in touch! Your help would make a huge difference in expanding our space and improving our clinic’s operations. 🙏✨

Contact us at [email protected] if you can lend a hand or have recommendations. Thank you!

Our sweet Buttons is still fighting, but it’s been a tough battle. 🐾💔 His condition remains fragile—he’s still struggling with mange, and his little body is taking time to heal. Every day is a challenge, but he’s hanging in there, and we’re doing everything we can to help him pull through.

It’s heartbreaking to see him in this state, but we haven’t given up on him, and we know you haven’t either. Buttons needs more time, care, and love to get to the point where he can start truly healing.

Your donations have been a lifeline for him, but the journey isn’t over yet. We still need your support to cover his ongoing medical treatments, special food, and the round-the-clock care he requires.

If you’re able, please continue to donate:

Remember little Buttons who we introduced yesterday? Here he is having his first bath! 🛁🐾

It’s been an emotional journey, but seeing him finally start to feel clean and comfortable is a moment of pure joy. He was so scared at first, but as soon as the warm water touched his little body, it was as if he knew he was safe. His eyes softened, and for the first time, he looked relieved.

Buttons is on the road to recovery, but there’s still a long way to go. Your donations will make this transformation possible, and we’re asking for your support as we cover his ongoing medical treatments and care until he’s fully recovered and ready for a loving home.

If you’d like to help Buttons further on his journey, please consider donating:

This poor little puppy boy was found in Khayelitsha, and it breaks our hearts to see his condition. He is just skin and bones, covered with mange, and so, so scared. Despite everything, he is lapping up the love our staff are giving him. We've named him Buttons because, even in his state, he is as cute as a button.

We're doing everything we can to give him the medical treatment and love he desperately needs.

Please help us cover his medical and shelter costs until he is all better and ready for adoption. Any amount will make a difference.

Stay tuned to watch him getting his first bath…

Meet Bobby! 🐾 Born blind, Bobby was surrendered to our clinic by his loving owners who knew they couldn’t give him the care he needed. Our dedicated vets decided a specialist, Dr. Kim Tutt, should evaluate his condition. While waiting for the appointment, Bobby thrived in foster care, proving that his blindness didn't hold him back.

Unfortunately, we learned that Bobby's vision couldn't be restored due to multiple defects with his eyes. Despite this, we were determined to give him the best chance at a happy life. Thanks to our wonderful friends at Animal Welfare Helderberg, Bobby soon found an amazing new home.

He’s now living joyfully with his new gorgeous brother, and we couldn’t be happier for this special boy. 💕 Seeing Bobby's resilience and his new beginning fills our hearts with joy!

🧡 Bundled up with love 🧡

Here are some of our rescues, stretching out in their basic jerseys made with lots of love in an economical fabric that is still so warm and huggable. 🥺

Long time supporter of Mdzananda and friend of shelter dogs everywhere, Gabi Narozny is taking her support to even more beautiful levels in partnership with our friends from With love from Themba (a brand dedicated to supporting rescues).

With Gabi (& Themba, of course) at the helm, this innovative company produces snug and cozy dogwear of the highest quality fabrics, made to move with the body. No zips, no Velcro, no fuss. 🙌

The sales of these fabulous jumpers help to fund production of jumpers for rescue dogs in shelters like Mdzananda, and we are so very grateful to everyone at ‘with love from Themba’ for this beautiful sharing and very real support. 🐶

To place an order, email [email protected] or WhatsApp on 082 447 4442.

Your purchase of your own doggies’ jerseys will help to also keep shelter pups warm and comfy this winter. 🙏

Thank you to all the pawesome supporters of ‘with love from Themba’. Our rescues & strays are loving their jerseys! 🥺

🐶 Say hello to Meisie - a sweetheart of a dog. 🥺

Meisie is playful and loves nothing more than a good zoom around the runs. She also loves to swim and water play is her favourite time of day - we think she might be half dog/ half mermaid.

Meisie is also very smart, her high intelligence matches her high energy making her a highly trainable dog. She is very loving and enjoys a good head rub! 🐾

Meisie found herself at Mdzananda after being hit by a car, she walks with a limp but she doesn’t let her past keep her down! This happy go lucky girl always has a smile on her face and is excited to welcome anyone who walks into the kennels.

She would make a wonderful family dog, companion and furever best friend. 🙏

To adopt Meisie get in touch on [email protected] / 064 985 2513 🙌

This is Megan and she needs your help. 🫵

Megan will be challenging herself by taking on a dangerous cold open water swim from Robben Island which is a tough 7.5km stretch - a dream she's had since she was 16.

She is not only swimming to support the animals of Khayelitsha but also to show her daughter and others that with dedication and effort, achieving your dreams is possible. Her journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and the belief that anything is achievable. 💪

Join Megan in her mission by donating to her fundraising project on GivenGain and help her raise funds for Mdzananda Animal Clinic. Link in bio and here... 🙏

➡️➡️ Here is the link to Megan's campaign ...

Megan is a dedicated employee at Mdzananda Animal Clinic, where her love and commitment to animal welfare shine every day. Driven by her passion for helping animals in need. 🙌

Her efforts are focused on raising funds specifically for the sterilization of dogs and cats and the continued functioning of Mdzananda Animal Clinic. These contributions will provide life-saving treatments, improve facilities, and support the amazing team that works tirelessly to make a difference. 🐶🤗🐱

When people like Megan start a movement and challenge themselves (and you) to make a difference, it may not change the world, but it will change someone's life. 💞

The animals of Khayelitsha thank you with happy wagging tails 🧡

Did you know that our medication bill to treat sick and injured animals is around R600 000 per month? That's a lot of animals helped - animals who would have no access to medical care in Khayelitsha if it weren’t for Mdzananda. 🥺🐶

We need your help to continue this vital service. By becoming a Paw Member, you can make a difference for just R50 per month. This small contribution can sponsor an essential vaccination to protect against deadly diseases like Parvovirus - a painful and often fatal illness. 💔

Please consider becoming a and be the lifeblood of Mdzananda. 🐾🙏
