Three South African⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ composers Musa Mdluli Tshepo Tsotetsi Viwe Mkizwana ❤️❤️❤️ jamming at the club in the Berliner Konzerthaus at the Young Euro Classic Festival. Tomorrow, their music, together with that of George Gerswhin, Silvestre Revueltas, Joe Zawinul, Anders Paulsson, David Panzl and Miles Davis, will be performed by the full MIAGI Orchestra with jazz band and percussion ensemble in the great hall of this very same building conducted by David Christopher Panzl AND you can be there!! We are here, really, we are!! Ready for the first MIAGI Orchestra Tour of Europe 2024 concert directed / conducted by our stunning, multi musician percussionist composer conductor Zen Master, David Panzl! Come to our concert at Het Concergebouw in Amsterdam tonight at 20h00, we promise you, you will not regret it! This year’s edition of the MIAGI Orchestra creates its original orchestra sound by fusing a classical orchestra with a full jazz band and top it with a huge percussion ensemble - 44 South African musos joined by 15 from our partner organisations abroad, such as MDW - Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien and Bundesjugendorchester. 10 world nations on stage! Such an unique lineup requires an equally unique program. Therefore, MIAGI went on a 'Search for the African Footprint'. What was found was an exciting programme in the field of tension between African diaspora and the overcoming of ethnic differences - there will be a dashing cocktail of music by, and/or arranged by, Silvestre Revueltas, George Gershwin, Miles Davis, Joe Zawinul Viwe Mkizwana Musa Mdluli Tshepo Tsotetsi David Christopher Panzl Markus Geiselhart and Anders Paulsson ALL of you MIAGIcians ❤️ have a blast tonight! Towards the end of last year, a group of German parliamentarians visited Cape Town. MIAGI had the honour of acting the group’s host one afternoon. Together with our education partner in the Cape, Muzukidz, we organised an event with performances by the ravishing Muzukidz at The Good Hope Seminary Primary School in Vredenhoek. Here they are playing together with the cellist/composer Hans Huyssen.

Similarly, MIAGI’s Orchestra unites young talents through excellence, creative cooperation and innovation across ethnic and social borders, embodying the ideals of Nelson Mandela.
MIAGI founded and developed the Morris Isaacson Centre for Music (previously known as Cape Gate MIAGI Centre for Music) in Soweto, an educational community centre constructed in 2008/2009. A second MIAGI founded educational centre in a historically deprived settlement, and that will also be a multi-genre performing arts complex, ‘MIAGI Cultural Investment Centre Khayelitsha’, is in an advanced planning stage.
