Ramping has reached a record high, with latest data showing March 2023 had the worst month of ramping in South Australia's history.

Peter Malinauskas and Labor promised to fix ramping, yet it's worse than ever. South Australians deserve better.

23/03/2023

South Australian Labor where’s all the “outrage” now that ramping is even worse….

Meet Stephen Patterson MP - Member for Morphett, Shadow Minster for Energy and Net Zero; Mining; and Defence and Space Industries.

Stephen works hard to make South Australia the best place to live, work and raise a family. He is also a former small business owner, and understands the challenges they face and the contributions they make to our community. Driving down the cost of living for both families and business, including power prices, is a key priority of his.

"I love being the member for Morphett. My local electorate lends itself to a fantastic outdoors active lifestyle, which produces such a friendly community. There are many great volunteer organisations, including the Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club, where I am a volunteer lifesaver, and conserving our coastal environment is also high on my list of priorities."

Stephen lives in Glenelg South with his wife Tammy, and four children who play sport and volunteer in the community.

And if you didn't know, Stephen played for the Norwood Football Club in the SANFL and the Collingwood Football Club in the AFL. He's also won the flags competition at the State Masters Surf Life Saving Championships four years in a row!

Wonderful to have another opportunity to meet with Samoan Prime Minister Fiamē Naomi Mataʻafa, joining Peter Dutton and Michael McCormack MP. The PM is a powerful voice for her country, the wider Pacific and women , offering valuable insights into our shared interests.

Don Farrell you are on a massive public salary…..to sit there and laugh and barely string a sentence together during a cost of living crisis.
Is this the best the South Australian Labor can offer….

Family living on a slab outside Alice Springs finally moved into temporary housing The family who have been living on a cement slab outside Alice Springs for years are now all in temporary accommodation, with Lingiari MP Marion Scrymgour declaring there had been a failure at all levels of government to get them out of their “appalling” situation until now.

Last week, I spoke at a forum in Adelaide about the benefits of considering nuclear power as a part of Australia’s energy mix.

Contrary to the popular energy narrative, the latest engineering and economic analysis from the OECD and IEA show that nuclear generation is the lowest-cost way to have clean, safe and reliable power.

The OECD report warns that an over-reliance on intermittent energy sources like wind and solar drives up the systems level costs—causing higher electricity prices.

In the context of rising electricity prices, threats of blackouts, and cost of living pressures, it is imperative that we have a mature, evidence-based discussion about the benefits of low-cost, low-carbon nuclear energy in Australia.

I believe it is important for all Australians to be aware of the scientific, engineering and economic facts that are leading to investment in new nuclear capacity around the world.

Vale Queen Elizabeth II

May we never forget her steadfast and stoic nature and dedication to her duty to the people of Australia.

Reigning over a period that has seen the greatest leaps and bounds in human history.

A truely elegant and graceful person who stood above politics and carried out her role in a diligent manner.

The Governor-General is deeply saddened to advise Australians that Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, has passed away.

The Governor-General will make an initial statement before 7:00am AEST. The Governor-General will address the nation at 7:00pm this evening.

“I join with all Australians in mourning Her Majesty The Queen’s passing and in remembering her lifetime of tireless service. She was a truly remarkable person.

“When I reflect on my own memories – she was my Queen for my whole life – I think of Her Majesty’s dignity and her compassion. Her dedication and tireless work ethic. And her selflessness and unwavering commitment to the people that she served. To us.

“Her death will sadden all Australians and will be felt around the world.”

“As we mourn, we should also take inspiration from and give thanks for the remarkable contribution Her Majesty has made.”
