Letโs learn how to fly ๐
Get Low โ๏ธ
Start by squatting down with your feet together and knees wide. Place your hands flat on the mat, shoulder-width apart, fingers spread wide, and elbows slightly bent. Keep your hands and feet in place as you lift your hips toward the sky
Lift ๐ช
Keep your knees bent and lift your heels off the mat. This starts to shift your weight forward. Next, place your knees onto the backs of your upper arms, as close to your armpits as possible. Squeeze your knees into your arms for stability.
Find Your Balance โ๏ธ
Shift your weight into your fingertips, pressing them into the mat. Slowly lift one foot off the mat, then lift the other, bringing your big toes to touch. Alternatively, you can lower one foot and lift the other as you get used to balancing.
Focus & Fly ๐ค
Draw your navel toward your spine to find that central "lift" in your body, helping you balance and straighten your elbows, lift both feet and let your Crow fly โจ

1. What is Compass Pose? ๐งญ
Compass Pose is an advanced yoga pose that combines flexibility, strength, and balance. It's perfect for deepening hamstring and shoulder flexibility!
2. How to Prepare for Compass Pose ๐ฅ
Deep Core is a sequence full of Hamstring, Hip, and Shoulder Openers;
Standing Crescent, Wide-Legged Standing Forward Folds and Fire Logs
3. How to Reach Compass Pose ๐ช
Sit cross-legged, bend your right knee, hug it into your chest.
Lift your right leg with your left hand.
Thread your right arm under your right knee, placing fingertips on the floor.
Sit tall, lengthen your spine.
Position your right knee as high on the arm as possible.
Hold your right foot with your left hand.
Straighten your right leg and stretch your left arm back.
Look up towards your left arm.

Exit Carefully: Guide your leg back down with your left hand.

Introducing โจ Laura Jane Golcman โจ
Laura is a Yoga & Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer & Sports Nutritionist. She's also a former professional dancer, acrobat, and stunt woman who has performed internationally for many years.
As an individual deeply committed to health and fitness, she believes a holistic approach to wellness is essential in our busy lives today.
She enjoys guiding others on their own journey to health & wellbeing. As a very active person, Laura loves to spend time outside swimming, cycling and walking her dog.
Laura will be teaching FIIT (Fierce Intensity Interval Training) our original HIIT style class sandwiched between an expansive yoga warm up and warm down. Expect her classes to be fun, challenging and motivating.

Your comfort is paramount. We will respectfully ask if you're open to receiving hands-on adjustments. Your boundaries are always honoured, and your practice is your own. We will never offer adjustments during someoneโs first class.

Our teachers are trained to offer adjustments with skill and care, drawing from their extensive knowledge of yoga alignment and anatomy. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities. Hands-on adjustments are not essential and we will first offer verbal cues.
