PANTHER PLAYER ANNOUNCEMENT

The Chirnside Park Cricket Club are proud to announce that Dulan Berman will be taking the field in the 2024-25 season in the yellow and black again.

Following the birth of his daughter at the end of last season, it was looking like he'd put the willow away, but a tour back home with his academy soon put that idea to rest.

As our 2024-25 club and players' champion, with more than 500 runs and 20+ wickets, we look forward to Dulan going bigger and better again this upcoming season.

WOMEN'S PANTHER COACH ANNOUNCEMENT

The Chirnside Park Cricket Club is thrilled to welcome Matt McMahon to the Panther family as our senior women's coach for the upcoming 2024/2025 season.

Matt already has a great history with our Lady Panthers, from being a spectator since the 2018/2019 season, watching his now wife Kassey, and cheering on the women.

With 30 plus years of playing, coaching and umpiring cricket and football in our local community, Matt brings a wealth of cricket and fitness experience to the club and a desire to see our women and girls develop as a team and better themselves as individuals.

As we race toward the 2024/2025 season, Matt is raring to get the women ready for match day and we're keen for it too!

The Chirnside Park Cricket Club are proud as punch to hear and celebrate the news of First XI player and past captain Darcy Skene and wife Rachael on the safe arrival of their newborn son Tex Skene.

Darcy stepped down from his recent captaincy role at the end of last season in preparation for what is going to be an exciting and adventurous time ahead with Rachael as they set their eyes on developing Tex's left hand batting and off-spin throw downs.

Congratulations to the Skene and Webb families, from all your Panther family.

WINTER PANTHER SEMI FINAL RESULTS

Our Black XI went to Lusatia Park on Saturday for their chance to play in the grand final. Fair to say the opportunities were there, we were unable and unfortunate to take hold and capitalise on them.

We lost the toss and were in danger before the third over commenced. But Daniel and Raph put bat to ball and got us moving again. Great efforts from Sugar and Wheels carrying us to the change unbeaten. Plenty of wickets in hand but a fair few runs shorter than we were hoping.

Our bowling was solid, though the wickets didn't happen. Solid spells from Raph and Flynn, and Dan producing top figures. Tidy work from Ian, but would consider himself under bowled!

The Tigers passed us with four overs to play and is fair to say the better team won on the day. Good luck to you Lusatia Park in the Grand Final against Uniting.

To our Black XI, Gold XI and Under 14's - a big pat on the back for the season. So much progress for our individual panthers. Be proud of your efforts all season and move on to to summer cricket with the same spirit and drive you played with here.

WINTER PANTHER RESULTS

Another cold and wet weekend wrapped up the regular season of the Mid Year Cricket Association, and the end for our Gold and U14 teams.

Gold team were relocated as Gruyere reserve was too wet. Changing grounds didn't give them much more as the rain washed the game out before the end of our innings, and we finished 8th but showed a lot of growth over the season.

Black received a forfeit before the game and the handy points pushed them up to 3rd on the ladder.

Under 14's managed a full game on Sunday but couldn't get enough runs on the board to get a win. Finishing in 7th place with only 1 win but plenty of development.

Let's now get around the Black team as they prepare for finals.
