PANTHER PRACTICE MATCH RESULTS

We got our first run on the Kimberley Reserve deck on Saturday and you best believe it was so good to be back.

The wonderful folk at Coldstream came across as we hosted them in a practice match and both clubs are feeling excited for the new season now they've had some outdoor match day experience.

While we got the W, it was more about the time spent out in the middle and building comradery and learning on another's match plays. We got see our new teammates in action, Adi and Coach Reecey. It was a fantastic effort with both bat and ball and we managed to tick off most KPI's for the day.

Thank you to Coldstream Cricket Club for another great day. It's always a pleasure to have these regular matches as both clubs always play the game in good spirits.

NEW PANTHER ANNOUNCEMENT

Chirnside Park Cricket Club would love to welcome Aditya Deepak to the Panther family for the 2024-25 season.

Adi has been very quiet on the cricket scene since moving here in 2019, but previously played under 14s and 16s for his province in India, and toured England playing county clubs.

With a very tidy off spin and also being handy with the bat, Adi can compete with the best and change the way matches are played.

Having spent some quality training time with the club over the preseason and blending in well with the playing group and members, he has become one of the panther family already, and we look forward to watching Aditya all summer long.

SENIOR PANTHER OUTDOOR TRAINING

We returned to Kimberley Reserve last night for a solid training session and there were plenty of numbers in the nets and ovals.

With a full team of women training and the majority of our men too, you can tell the Chirny players are excited and working hard to make an impact in the new season.

Big thank you the for opening the clubrooms and bar for us all to rehydrate and have a good social catch up after training. It was great to be back in the rooms.

Senior training continues next Tuesday at Saxon Sports, and Thursday back at the club.

Chirnside Park Cricket Club Established in 1984, Chirnside Park Cricket Club is located 35km east of Melbourne at the foothills of the picturesque Yarra Valley and is affiliated with the Ringwood & District Cricket Association (RDCA), the Women’s Community Cricket Competition (WCCC), the Mid Year Cricket Association (MYCA) and the Box Hill Reporter District Cricket Association (BHRDCA).

Boasting some of the finest facilities in the association, our clubrooms, side-by-side home grounds, with fencing and synthetic run-ups and pitch surrounds, and 5 lane fully synthetic, fully enclosed practice facility are located at our Kimberley Reserve, Kimberley Drive base.

We currently field 20 teams - 6 senior men’s teams, with the 1st XI competing in Newey Plate, a senior women’s team, 2 winter teams, an under 18 team, an under 15 girls’ team, 3 under 14 teams, 3 under 12 teams, an under 12 girls’ team, 2 under 10 teams and a Woolworths Junior Blasters (5-8yo) program.

PANTHER PLAYER ANNOUNCEMENT

The Chirnside Park Cricket Club are proud to announce that Dulan Berman will be taking the field in the 2024-25 season in the yellow and black again.

Following the birth of his daughter at the end of last season, it was looking like he'd put the willow away, but a tour back home with his academy soon put that idea to rest.

As our 2024-25 club and players' champion, with more than 500 runs and 20+ wickets, we look forward to Dulan going bigger and better again this upcoming season.
