For those that work with me or have worked with me on their transformation journey will know that my 2 most disliked words in our industry is “bulking “ and “off season”

Let me quickly explain why! These words illicit behaviour that that trigger our mind into an unbalanced negative state ! The whole conception of ~ you have to get out of shape to get into shape is a load of crock… the same goes with if you want to look good you have to suffer …. Sacrifice and live of chicken and fresh air!!! If this is you an your situation your are doing it all wrong !!!

There’s a difference between getting uncomfortable and doing things that are detrimental to your health.
A prime example is …. And I see it a lot in the BB world more than ever now and esp when it comes to coaches prescribing ridiculous PED protocols with no consideration, qualifications to their clients !

After 25 years of being in the fitness and bodybuilding world 🌍 I have been able to work out how to produce healthy athletes and women that can sustain their transformation and health year round! None of my women whether they are in a growth phase or a recomp phase have ever blown out and have never had to-deal with the mental or post comp transformation blues!! Why…. Because I take my time with each client and athlete to build a strong and solid foundation using 5 pillars of health.

These pillars are
❤️ mental
❤️ emotional
❤️spiritual
❤️ physical
❤️ nutritional/ hormonal

My saying to my clients is … you’re only as strong as your weakest link!! What part of your health journey is letting you down?

When all pillars of health are doling at the same frequency magic happens …. Stop 🛑 for a second and have a good hard look at your current journey, the conditions around you and the support (or lack of) that you are receiving!

Over the last 2 weeks I’ve had a number of female athletes whom have recently competed approach me with the protocols and post comp health issues they are having as a result, poor coaching and no plan periodisation post comp , so much so that they end up in a worse position then when they started!

We need to stop normalising extreme health side effect from comp!! Cont 👇🏽

It all starts with you the client speaking up and being informed ! If your coach cannot produce valid explanations reliable resources for your comp prep process (PEDs) then it’s time for you to consider what’s more important, your health or looking good on stage for 5 mins only to have every pillar of your health destroyed in the process!!

We all have a starting point …. The pic on the left was already 6 years into my bodybuilding journey …. I look happy don’t I 😂….. I call that face the chicken and fresh air diet lol 😂….. and I’ll never do that again 😝…….. 12 years later more failures and setback that I can count on but my European roots will never see me quit Im too stubborn for that .

12 years, 55 shows later and I finally made it to my pro debut … yeah im a late bloomer but the truth is I never wanted to rush the process … I chose to take my time , preserve my health both physically and mentally so that I can have longevity in the sport and help other athletes, do the same .

Whilst competing is something that I absolutely love ❤️ I don’t compete to win but rather I compete to challenge myself and to grow and learn and if that is then enough to win giddy up!!!

My real passion is in coaching and producing healthy athletes that have longevity in the sport, but it had to start with me …. My mess is my message…. And I can honestly tell you that I’ve had a lot of mess to clean up over the years . If I had the choice to change anything about my journey… I wouldn’t not a single thing.

Don’t wait for the change … be the change! It takes just one person , one moment for your whole path to change for the better !

The last 12 months have been a whirlwind . I’ve had the absolute pleasure of forming the most incredible relationships with so many people in our sport that are aligned with what I stand for and to these people I’m forever grateful for and look forward to continuing to support and nurture these relationships.

Both and I see ourselves forever giving back to a sport that has given us so much over the years a platform and many opportunities, in turn we want to give the same back.

One of the things that we love the most about this industry is there are some incredible humans that have crossed our paths, and you just connect, its instant and that’s exactly what it was like when we met out next 2 guests IFBB Pro’s Jolaine and Eunice at the Triple O Dynasty last month.
The parallel’s both Rose and I share with these ladies in nothing short of synchronicity and divine intervention at its best. In today’s podcast we dive deep into both lady’s journey in the sport, how they met and how BADRAP (the brand and movement), got started. What’s BADRAP stand for .... Big And Defined Ripped And Pumped! Both Eunice and Jolaine share a passion for helping support women in bodybuilding and creating opportunities such as athlete sponsorship, providing funding for women in our sport. Average breeds average!! When you want to be the best you must train with the best , mentor from the best and grow with the best ! When it comes to bodybuilding the US is the gold standard . We have learnt so much over the last year interviewing all the incredible promotors, judges and pro athletes and Olympians ; then heading over to the states and competing showed us just what a gold standard show looks like .

Again if you want to be the best then associate with the gold standard . We have been very blessed to have the best in our corner . The 3 shows we have already done overseas are great example of how shows should be run 🏃 from the judging, to the production to how the athletes are treated just incredible and we will continue to support and sponsor these shows over the next 12 months and bring some in npc and pro athletes from Australia 🇦🇺 to experience how amazing these productions are and meeting and aligning with the most incredible humans and teachers we’ve had

Massive congratulations 🥂 to my beautiful client .e.van_es all the way over in the Netherlands!
You did it hun you made it to stage got yourself a 4 th placing and you owned it and held your own there in an open line up of young ladies .

This one was just a warm up the main event is coming this June for the world titles .

Sylvia is 50 years young and as a coach working with a natural middle aged woman has its challenges , it would be extremely difficult for a coach to get a natty to stage that 50 years young while navigating hormones.

There’s one thing that I’m really good at and that’s getting natty bodies to stage looking incredibly good and healthy. This comes down to knowing how to use food in particular the micro nutrient profile of certain foods to illicit the desired effect for the athlete and their physique!

This is a more time consuming process which is why checkins are multiple times per week. A woman’s body at any moment can change due to hormones but this is even more evident in middle age women.

The diet we use one day may not work the next day and I am full prepared to change the plan as many times necessary to make sure my athlete is on track.

I truely believe that as a natural athlete you can achieve an incredible physique and d in my eyes these athletes need to be commended on their efforts as it’s so much harder for natural athletes then what it is for assisted athletes .
It generally takes longer for these athletes to prep and more changes are required to get the desired result.

So to Sylvia as your coach I’m so friken proud you are an incredible human, mother and wife . Bring on the next show.

The start of comp prep in December vs 3 days out first show April 2024. What a rides it’s been!!

2 years ago and I stood side by side on stage at the 2022 Australian 🇦🇺 Pro/Am event hat was the year I turned pro, so you can imagine my honour to then have this incredible woman ask me to coach her into the 2024 Pro/Am .

Now what most coaches don’t tell you is the amount of times a coach doesn’t get it right the first time@round or the challenges and hurdles that get presented. Success is never linear …. It’s up and down and back and forward and sometimes you feel you are just going nowhere…… it’s in these moments where success is built .

Chelsea first came to me when her body was not primed, hormonal health was non existent and essentially her body had shut down … it was resistant to any and every protocol I gave it. However, after 9 months of resetting Chelsea’s body we were able to get it out of induced menopause and back to functioning as a normal 30 year old child baring age woman should be.

Its then that we began the process of building and recomposing Chelsea’s body , we gave her body extra time to recompose , extra time for recovery and a very detailed supplemental protocol focused oh gut health, adrenal function and promenades hormones and thyroid function.

Did we have challenges over the last 4 months …. No we didn’t !!! Why …. It’s simple …. We spent the time required to “sharpen the axe 🪓 “, so that when it was time to push the button change would happen easily and effortlessly.

Right now Chelsea is peaking on over 400 grams of carbs a day …. With a few burgers coming up in the next day or so and she’s is consistently dropping .5 to .8 kgs daily on more food and quadruple the carbs ! Again, this is because I took the time to heal and prime her body

If you ask what peak week 1 is like right now she will tell you she bouncing off the walls!!
I truely believe that there are ways to prep for a show that will have you feeling better and looking great leading into your peak week rather than the reverse .

The key is knowing how to use food as medicine 💊 from a micronutrient capacity.

Let’s keep it real, raw and honest! In the professional competing world 🌍 I’m one of the whippets at 157 cms and my stage weight for my pro debut was 60.5 and for my second show I dropped a kg and came in at 59.6 kgs.

I made a promise to myself that in this sport i was never going to compromise my health and my femininity! I was and will continue to stay true to figure and its criteria.

Now I know that the sport will continue to evolve and so too will the bodies but I’m choosing to stay true to the criteria and to produce athletes that are also true to the criteria, and also healthy.

I’ve been in the sport long enough to see the extremes that women athletes go to, and at the detriment of their health, both physical and mental and in many cases causing horrendous side effects where once a beautiful woman now looks and sounds like a man …. That’s not what the figure category is about !

Judges have made the point that it’s not the best body that wins the show but the one that fits the criteria the most ! This is something that really needs to be kept on top of , and it starts at the top.

As a coach you have a responsibility and a duty of care to look after your athletes and put health at the top of your priority.

So as long as I’m in this sport, I will up hold my duty as an athlete and a coach to produce healthy physiques that are true to the criteria .

It’s not where you start , it’s not what cards you are delt, it’s not anything other then you being presented with opportunities that will enable you with all the tools you need to grow, evolve and inspire yourself and those around you!

That smile on my face yesterday was one of fulfilment 20 years competing and yes I know I’m late to the table but I did it and my son was there to watch ! When he yelled out from the audience “mummy your the best go mum “, I know I’d have already won 🥇.

I look back on my journey and every challenge and setback that was thrown at me I wouldn’t take it back because it’s made me who I am today .

To anyone reading this , never give up keep going and be sure that your certainty outweighs the doubts of others !

was the most fun I’ve ever had in a show , doing it with my bestie and having my son and friends travel to support and to top it off meeting all of my idols and special humans ! Still on a high 🌹
