The HACCI National Federation two-day event, showcasing
The Εllinikon to Melbourne, culminated on Wednesday 22 May, with tremendous success.

More than 100 people joined us at the BDO Australia offices on both nights, showing interest in the AU$13 billion investment, transforming the 620ha former Athens International Airport, into a future-ready model city.

Big thanks to James Limnios (from the Limnios Property Group) for the captivating presentation, and to Andreas Kambanellas, Commercial Director Residential of the Ellinikon, for giving is a private guided tour (albeit via zoom) to Europe’s largest urban renewal project, currently in development on the Athens Riviera.

Last week, HACCI Chair Fotini Kypraios met with Professor Vasso Apostolopoulos in Oakleigh, among hordes of people getting ready for the Greek Easter celebration, and was presented with a certificate to commemorate the successful fundraising effort that took place during the 2023 HACCI Excellence Awards.

Throughout the evening, we were able to raise more than $10,000 to support Professor Apostolopoulos’ groundbreaking research in pancreatic cancer, and the roll out of breast cancer vaccination. 

HACCI is very proud of this achievement and very grateful to all the wonderful chamber members, partners, and friends who made this happen.

Well done to everyone — and more importantly to Professor Apostolopoulos. Keep up the great work!

For Greek Australians holding a dual citizenship, postal vote is a very important development towards inclusion in decision-making, and the first step is the upcoming election for European Parliament, held on Sunday 9 June.

Given the important role the Europarliament plays not only in Greek policy-making, but also in trade and international relations between Australia and the EU, it is important to be able to exercise this right.

All you need to do is registering on the Ministry of Interior's electronic platform; log in with your TaxisNet codes or alternatively, with a combination of your valid Greek passport details and ID card or municipal registry number, or through Greek consular authorities abroad, without any further conditions.
