FIRBANK NETBALL CLUB CELEBRATION | We wrapped up the 2024 season with fantastic senior and junior presentation afternoons. With nearly 300 players and 28 teams, there was so much to celebrate. 🏐✨
A huge thank you to Vixens player Kate Eddy for sharing her inspiring career stories and insights on dedicated training. Netball enthusiast and former state player, Principal Jenny Williams, was thrilled to present the awards.
It was a great afternoon for teams and parents to come together, celebrate the season’s successes, and enjoy the friendships formed. Congratulations to all our players for their commitment and dedication this season, well done to all the award recipients. This year’s winner of the Jenni Maloni Award for outstanding service to the club was Lucy Oldfield. 👏
Today is R U OK? Day and we're encouraging everyone to ask, "Are you OK?" to as many people as possible. These four simple words can have a profound impact on someone's life.
While today is a special reminder, we at Firbank believe it's important to check in with each other every day. Let's make it a habit to speak up and reach out.
Remember the four key steps:
1. Ask, "R U OK?"
2. Listen
3. Encourage action
4. Check in
This week, the Student Wellbeing Group has lined up exciting activities to promote mental wellness. We've shared insights in year-level assemblies about the significance of R U OK? Day and mental health and today our students are putting on a bake sale to support the R U OK? Foundation.
Let's make a difference, one conversation at a time. 💛
