A big congratulations to our U12Girls for making the final of Merri-bek Cup today. We fell short in the final but we are proud of our girls for their hard work through out the day playing 5 games.

We are delighted to announce that our 2023 Skipper and State League 2 Best and Fairest Matt Oghanna has re-signed for the 2024 season.

Matty is a leader on and off the pitch and much loved throughout our community and sets an example for all our junior players.

Today Football Victoria has released a statement in relation to clubs not being able to participate in the 2024 season due to financial obligations.

We wish to advise our players, parents, guardians and families who form the backbone of our football community that our club is up to date with FV’s financial requirements.

A list of all compliant clubs is available in Football Victoria’s statement.

FV wishes to provide an update to the community concerning the unpreceded level of Club debt owed to FV.

Clubs who are unable or unwilling to meet their financial obligations will be regarded as ineligible to participate in the 2024 season.

This matter is of the highest importance to the players, parents, guardians and families who form the backbone of our community. It is imperative that any registration fees you pay ensures your ability to participate in 2024.

Club Announcement 📣

Men’s Reserves Coach - We would like to Welcome Christian Cincev for the 2024 season. Christian has had experience at NPL level with Moreland Zebras and Pascoe Vale over the last 8 years and will be working closely with our Senior Coaching group to ensure we keep promoting the youth within our club.

Trials for our Men’s Reserves will be held this Monday 13th & Wednesday 15th of November at Partridge St Reserve.

Mill Park has taken part of the CCC program over the 2023 season.

The CCC role provides relevant and valued coach support and mentoring in the Club environment and supports coaches to ensure sessions are safe, inclusive, organised, enjoyable and engaging for all involved.

Under the FV Club Coach Coordinator (CCC) Program, a selected person within a Club works closely with the FV Program Manager to:

Build strong sense of inclusion and belonging, including welcoming new players, members, and supporters.
Maintain good communication between all Club stakeholders and;
Create a positive, safe, and non-threatening environment in which players and coaches feel that they can try new things and make mistakes.
Clubs can support their coaches through a variety of packages ranging from a Basic package which primarily involves online support, through the Bronze & Silver packages which offer regular online catch-ups. Gold packages are also available, which provide a higher level of in-person support including Club visits, Community Coaching Certificates and limited access to a planned Coaching Conference.

Club Changer, Football Australia’s Club Development Program aims to protect and enhance our clubs, to make them stronger and more resilient, to lead them in building welcoming and inclusive cultures and to educate them on positive environments for players, volunteers, officials, and administrators whilst planning for long term viability and success.

Mill Park Soccer Club set on a mission several years ago to increase the number of female participation at the club, with the assistance of Razor RV the club was able to provide the opportunity for all females to play soccer for free. The first year saw great success and it was later announced that it would be free for a second year. This saw the growth in numbers and development of female players within the club. With that Mill Park Women’s and girl’s teams have been able to come away with some silverware along the way as well as an opportunity to partake in a sport within our community. The journey does not stop here for Female participation at Mill Park, Mill Park next focus is the development of female players and their coaches continuing the success for years to come.
