It has been a slow consistent fat loss whilst holding on to her lean muscle.
This has been more than a body transformation, it has been a full reset of the mind body and soul.

Occasionally a few of us girls get together for lunch or dinner. Today it was the tea rooms. Marion and I rode our motorbikes, Renay and Toni drove up.
It’s a nice change seeing each other in a social setting instead of the gym.. I even get to relax a little too lol

We had a little selfie send off for Miss Nancy yesterday.
Nancy is a young and spritely 84 years and comes up to Townsville for winter (to her son) and goes back to Geelong, VIC home for the warmer months.
Nancy trained twice a week and although she was slower than most she still got in and did as much as possible. Nancy needs to be strong physically as her husband isn’t quite as mobile as her but she told me once she used to be a ballerina so the exercise wasn’t foreign to her.
My program isn’t just about losing weight, it’s about posture, balance, strength, and mobility.
I asked Nancy if she had a gym back home she replied “yeah, but not as good as yours” I was a little chuffed.
We will see Nancy back here next year and we all look forward to seeing her again..

I am very proud of the safe and supportive environment I have created for my clients and will nip anything in the bud when I feel or hear any negativity.
We have a “code of conduct” written in the gym to remind people why they are they.
It goes .. no judging, no bitching, no talking about others, what is said or done in the gym, stays in the gym , help others if you can and we are ALL here for the same reason, to feel better in our skin.
In the 9+ years I’ve had the business, I have removed 11 women from my gym. I made a strict rule from the start, i will not allow my business to become a gossip hub or a mean girl gym.
Unfortunately some women (and men) love to gossip about others and put others down and I cannot stop this happening but I can stop it happening in my gym.
I can only hope it stays at only 11 women because it really is awful to deal with but my girls are my family, so don’t mess with them! 😖🥰

Hi, I’m Jo the owner of OptiBods for Women and the creator of the Optibods all-in-one program.
I was once a beginner with my own fitness and health and found the information available very confusing. I found following a strict eating plan of boring foods wasn’t sustainable and I realised that if I was having such an issue understanding the information available then many more must be in the same boat.
I always felt intimidated or judged in public gyms and that is why I have created such a private and personal program where no one judges anyone as we are all on the same journey, to feel good in our skin 💓
I designed a program that TEACHES you what to eat and why and also design nutrition plans with the foods YOUR taste buds love. The foods one person may like doesn’t mean the next person will and visa versa. Each nutrition plan is custom designed for each individual's health and energy requirements including those suffering from diabetes, PCOS, autoimmune disorders, hypothyroidism, food allergies etc .. as well as those who have had gastric surgery 👌🏼
The fitness side of the program is designed with the same principles that female bikini competitors use.
Sculpting the body with weights has so many advantages, it builds strength and stronger bones along with burning up to 3.5 x more calories than cardio exercise 😄
I understand the many injuries, and weaknesses and also how to rehabilitate these problems and build your confidence in using your body properly again.
I pride my gym on being different to other gyms and we are exclusively for women that want to better themselves. We are a group of supportive and encouraging women who are all on the same journey. We have clients ranging from 14-81yo 😄
I don’t have cardio machines in my gym for 2 reasons,
1, I don’t believe you should pay money to a personal trainer to have to walk a treadmill or ride a bike.
2. I believe walking riding etc should be done in your own leisure time if you wish, and out in the fresh air taking in nature’s beauty.
At the beginning of each person's program, you are assessed for your basic abilities and your program is designed from there.
I ease you into your sessions within your abilities to keep the pain level tolerable and minimal. The ladies always tell me the first few days are the worst of it and after that, you are on your way and are looking forward to their next session.
I am with you 💯 of your journey and will keep adjusting your program where and when it is needed.
I am also very strict on technique to keep you safe.

Lou complained when I put her on the scanner that she had only lost 1.2kg.
To her this sounded like nothing much until I read her results…. She had gained 300g lean muscle, lost 1.5kg of body fat.
I then took her photos to show her how much she had changed and it wasn’t until she saw these that she understood that a small movement on total weight may not have shown much but her body composition has changed already. It gave her a push to work even harder!
