We promote the total well-being of children and the highest standards of education.
The Prince Edward Island Home and School Federation is composed of local home and school associations at 50 schools across PEI, representing over 11,000 parents.
Sunnier and warmer days are here! We want to ensure that students and staff are comfortable, safe, and ready to learn and play with warmer weather. ☀️🌳📘
💧 Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is crucial as temperatures rise. Please remember to send your child to school with a water bottle. This helps keep them cool, focused, and ready to learn.
🧢 Hat: A hat is a perfect accessory for sunny days. It provides vital shade for the face and neck, protecting from harmful UV rays.
🕶 Sunscreen: Applying sunscreen before school is a great habit to start now. It helps keep sensitive skin protected during outdoor activities and breaks.
Let's greet the warmer weather prepared and ensure students can enjoy their school days without the heat hindering their learning or fun. Thanks for helping us keep our children safe and comfortable!
Congratulations Erwin Balderston, School Bus Driver of the Year 2024, Eastern school region. Dave Schult, Vice President of the PEI Home and School Federation presented the award with students, teachers and family present for this special recognition at Stratford Elementary School. Erwin knows each student, remembers every stop, and ensures safety and respect for everyone. Managing a 35-foot vehicle at highway speeds with over 50 students on board for 197 school days a year is no small feat, yet he does it with unwavering dedication and a smile. Thank you, Erwin!
