(And suck at it)

I want to give a big shout out to for a class I recently attended, and how great the studio/instructors were

I haven’t done Yoga since college, and while I struggled through the class, the instructors were able to give enough regressions to the movements that even as a newbie - I could get through

It’s always a bit of a mental challenge when doing something new or out of the norm, but it was good to get outside of my comfort zone and work on my tin-man mobility to get the body moving in different ways

Let’s face it, there’s more to life than staying in your comfort zone. Even if you kinda suck at something (like I did here) the experience you get can be pretty damn awesome

Hey Rocket Yoga crew!!! Our Melissa Wasserfell is teaching a warm rocket here at OM on Wednesdays at 5:30pm. Not only is she the OG of Ashtanga here in YEG but she’s also the best at it. Kind yet strong, traditional yet flexible, her classes are the best mix of everything you come to expect from a Rocket class but also just so damn digestible. Hey OM friends and family. We are looking for some new teachers to join the crew. Starting with our sub list and possible permanent classes come fall.

We love creative teachers, who believe in bringing tradition and accessibility to their classes. We are a laid back and familial bunch. Many of us have been teaching and working together for decades! We are a family. We would love someone who comes in with that kind of energy.

The love of teaching is important, but the love of the student and their journey is most important. We meet everyone eye to eye here! Teachers are not above the student at OM

Learning to Fly with Jason, Saturday June 15th, 2-4:30pm $30. This introduction to inversions and arm balancing has been taught he Jason for many years and one of our studios favourite workshops. This is an all-levels workshop and great for most yogis. You’ll be talking through anatomy of the shoulder girdle, exercises for the upper body, and awareness when our hands are on the floor. We will get a chance to play in headstand, handstand, and some arm balances. If your feet don’t leave the ground this weekend that’s ok too, it’s about the journey to the pose! We hope to see you!
