Our new TESL Bridging Course is designed to supplement students' existing knowledge and ensure they meet the instructional hours required by TESL Ontario and TESL Canada. It focuses specifically on bridging the gap for students who have completed TESL Part 1 or Part 2 at other institutions with fewer instructional hours. ⏰

Upon successful completion of the TESL Bridging Course, students will be well-prepared to continue their TESL education and pursue the Ontario Certified English Language Teacher (OCELT) designation and the TESL Canada Professional Standard 2, qualifying them to teach adult learners in various educational settings within Ontario and internationally. 🌏

The history of beer predates the history of many products made by humans. Dating back from the Mesopotamia era we can learn lots from how the product enjoyed by so many worldwide has evolved into the beers we know today. Students learn about the ingredients used to produce this historical beverage, as well as how it is made domestically and internationally. Students explore the classification of beer, how to properly assess beer, how to match beer with food, and how to cook with beer. Special attention is placed on local microbreweries but not forgetting the classic styles we see from the old world.

Marshmallow Challenge! 🔨

In our Leadership Skills class, we asked ITT students to make the tallest free-standing structure using 20 sticks of spaghetti, 1 yard of tape, 1 yard of string, and be able to support a marshmallow.

Students then explored which learning skills they used while tackling this challenge.
It turns out that a marshmallow is heavier then you think!
