Exciting news! The Observer, QIAA’s international affairs journal, has published its first edition of the 2024-2025 academic year! Titled “Summer In Review: Civil Unrest,” it seeks to examine some of the instances of civil unrest that occurred over the course of the summer. Today acts as a reminder of the colonialism that Canada is built upon, and we at QIAA believe in the cruciality for reconciliation efforts with the Indigenous community. At QIAA, we honor National Indigenous History Month to reflect on the histories, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous peoples. We acknowledge that we live, work and gather on the land of the Anishinaabe and Haudenossaube people, and we recognize that these lands have been home to Indigenous peoples for thousands of years before us.
