Yesterday I turned 54. I never thought there would come a day that I would feel comfortable enough and safe in my vulnerability to post a picture of myself for the world with no makeup (unfiltered). I have struggled with bad skin my whole life. It paralyzed me in many ways that only like people can understand. When I started as an Aesthetic Nurse Injector 8 years ago, my journey for better skin blossomed. The knowledge gained thru the years has brought me to today. When we talk about the “volume” of filler, we are referring to mls. Sometimes it’s nice to have a visual. Keep in mind, HA fillers are a gel consistency 🙂

As we age, skin laxity, fat depletion and collagen loss can cause development of deeper lines and/or deficits, especially to lower face. I treated this clients bilateral oral commissure region for just this reason. More than one treatment can be required to have aesthetic effect without making lower face look bulky.
