Neurodivergent is a term used to describe people whose brains function differently than most.

The term includes many conditions, such as Prader-Willi Syndrome, Dyspraxia, Social Anxiety, Williams Syndrome, DiGeorge Syndrome, Bipolar Disorder, OCD, and many more.

The neurodiversity movement began in the 1990s with an aim to increase support, inclusion, and acceptance of all people. Around this time, Judy Singer coined the term neurodiversity. ๐Ÿง  Today, the term has been foundational in education and research, allowing clinicians to assess and address such conditions with appropriate care.
