🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30th 🧡
This day marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a solemn occasion to honor the children who never returned home from residential schools and to recognize the brave Survivors, along with their families and communities. It’s a time for us to collectively acknowledge the tragic legacy of residential schools and the lasting impacts that continue to affect generations.
The core message is clear: "Every Child Matters." The orange shirt symbolizes the cultural, spiritual, and personal identity lost by Indigenous children, serving as a poignant emblem of the need for healing and reconciliation.
Let’s come together to honor their stories and work towards a brighter future. 🧡
