Still have questions about the mpox vaccine? 🧐 Don’t sweat it — helped us put together a quick tipsheet that you can share to get the word out!
1. The vaccine is safe, effective, and can’t give you mpox!
2. It can be given before - or soon after - exposure to the virus.
3. You should still get the vaccine even if you’ve been vaccinated for smallpox
4. It takes 2 weeks to build up protection after getting the shot
5. Eligible folks should get 2 doses, at least 28 days apart

This is just a friendly reminder that health is intersectional too! We tend to think of s3xual health as existing out there in its own little container but of course it lines up with mental health, gender identity, harm reduction and more!
If you’ve ever had symptomatic gonorrhea, you’d know it doesn’t just interfere with your s*x life, it royally messes up the rest of your day too, until you can get it treated! 😖
And that’s why .ca provides all sorts of services and activities outside of “just” secksual health stuff. We know that health is a bigger picture that involves feeling a sense of safety, joy, community, and cultural belonging. 🌈
When we come back from the post-Pride break, stop in to the office sometime and ask us about what’s coming up! There’s always exciting programming in the works and there’s also volunteer opportunities as well 😎
