Congratulations to Judy Mackenzie who last week received her well deserved M.B.E. for services to wheelchair curling. Judy and her family had a great day at Buckingham Palace where she was presented with her award by Prince Charles.

Judy was instrumental in the establishment of wheelchair curling in Scotland and has been actively involved since the sport was introduced in 1999. She has played a key role in attracting disabled people into the sport and helping them develop as curlers playing in local clubs and right up to the GB Paralympic team.

To this day, Judy continues to play a pivotal role in developing and improving curling opportunities, pathways, programmes and events.

Well done Judy !

LINE UP CHANGE TO SCOTLAND’S WORLD CHAMPS 2020 WHEELCHAIR TEAM | British Curling Scotland has had to make a late change to the team that will represent them at the World Wheelchair Curling Championships hosted in Wetzikon in Switzerland,  which gets underway next week (29 February – 7 March 2020).

A celebration of Ted Bidgood's life will be held at Lockerbie Ice Rink on Friday 13th March at 12.00pm. Everyone welcome.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO Judy Mackenzie on her M.B.E a superstar coach who has dedicated so so much of her time to help so many people in the curling world, Judy's Dedication to helping others has been unwavering and she has helped make so so many peoples lives a happier place to be with her unyielding support from her and all at Stirling wheelchair curling club..
