Did the most beautiful yoga class this morning at with Caroline from .
Probably the best class I have done in years! Caroline is such a skilled, caring and knowledgeable instructor and I can’t recommend this class enough.
She teaches Tuesdays at 10am and Thursdays at 8pm in this gorgeous studio.
Instagram, it’s been a while. Been busy with a toddler but back at it this week trying out the intro package at .fit Tunbridge Wells.
Today I made it to my first spinning class in ages. Tough leaving the house to cries of “more Mamma”, but filling up my cup so that I can be a better Mum and a better partner. January was a full on month of teething, tummy bugs and broken nights and I’ve been craving exercise and me time. Two yoga classes and a sweaty spin later and starting to feel calmer, happier and more energised. My exercise “routine” definitely looks a bit different these days but fitting it in when I feel I can and reaping the benefits 🤗🙌🏼🙏🏼
Today I did my 3rd workout since giving birth to my little man on 12th August. It felt really great, despite a fairly sleepless night last night.
My return to exercise has been much slower than I anticipated. Motherhood is by far the most challenging, full time job I’ve ever had. It’s wonderful but right now I’m exhausted. So it’s a toss up between do I workout or do I get some much needed sleep, do I workout or do I do some housework or make my self some food and a cuppa! Finding the motivation and time to exercise with a small baby can be tough.
Things will get easier I know. So until then, we’re just taking it day by day and my workouts will most likely be fairly sporadic for another wee while.
Any other mums feeling this way?
I’ve been a bit quiet on here of late as I’ve been busy making a tiny human!
I fell pregnant last November and our little boy arrived on 12th August. I was lucky enough to have an uncomplicated pregnancy and a natural birth, apart from some carpel tunnel in my hands and wrists towards the end and a bit of swelling due to the heat, and I managed to exercise and keep active right up until the last couple of weeks.
Having recently qualified as a pre and postnatal personal trainer, it was invaluable to go through a pregnancy myself and to really understand what exercising is like at every stage.
Recovery post birth has been going well, I have just been doing pelvic floor exercises, static abdominal contractions and walking up until now but hoping to get back to some gentle workouts after my 6-week doctors appointment on Monday.
I’ll be sharing a few posts about my journey back into exercise post birth. Looking forward to getting going 💪🏼
I've been training these two lovely sisters (both amazing Mum's too) for a couple of months now and it's a pleasure to see how much they have progressed and the enjoyment they get from their sessions.
As busy working Mum's, the two hours they train with me a week is their quality 'me time' and I strive to make every session fun, effective and suited to their strengths. I also always include a couple of minutes of relaxation at the end of each session which is a big hit!
I currently have some availability for 1to1 or small group sessions in the area. I can come to your home or we can meet at a suitable outdoor space. I'd love to hear from you if you're looking for some tailored, fun fitness motivation.
DM me or email me at [email protected].
Having completed my ante and postnatal personal training qualification, I am pleased to now offer PT sessions to mum's at any stage of their pregnancy or post birth journey in the Tunbridge Wells area.
I offer one to one or small group sessions that take into account all the physical changes, tiredness, aches, pains and challenges that come with being a superhero mum! 🦸♀️
My sessions are all about empowering my client's and making them feel stronger, fitter and more confident when exercising.

Been taking a bit of a break from posting on my socials but I’m still here and still lifting heavy things.
Trying to keep my routine going as things get busier in the run up to Christmas. If you are struggling to find the time, remember every little counts and in these darker months, exercise can help to improve your mood and your health.
Stay active Instagram xx
But first, coffee! ☕️
I love a pre-workout coffee (with almond milk and a small bit of stevia).
Reports suggest caffeine may improve athletic performance and reduce rates of exertion. Some research has also linked coffee to boosting metabolic rates and burning fat.
That’s not to say you should start drinking 20 cups per day. Personally, I keep it to two cups and I try drinking a glass of water alongside as coffee acts as a diuretic! 💦
R E C O N N E C T I N G
After a busy month with a house move, some studies, two new freelance marketing jobs (my other line of work) and travelling for the first time in well over a year to spend time with my future in-laws in South Africa, it feels good to reconnect with my body and with some beautiful nature.
Life can get busy and taking a break is OK but always try to find your way back to exercise and physical activity. Your body and mind will thank you 🙏🏼.
THANK YOU!
It's so wonderful to see the T.E.C. community growing on Instagram. Thank you to all those who follow me and interact with my posts. This page is a space where I hope everybody feels welcome. My goal is to motivate, encourage and inspire without judgement or pressure.
I look forward to welcoming more followers as I move to Tunbridge Wells.
If you have any feedback, if you'd like to see more of something on my page, or if you'd like to just say hello, my DM's are open. Much love to all my followers. Kelsey xx

POST-EASTER GUILT?
I have spoken to a few clients today and the first thing they all said was that they were feeling guilty for being "so bad" over the Easter weekend. Anyone else feeling this today?
If you are, then I'm right there with you, but how about instead of worrying about how much chocolate you ate and how much wine you drank, try focussing on what a lovely time you had, how nice it was to treat yourself and how good that Easter egg(s) tasted!
Life happens, events happen and enjoying delicious food and drink is part of that. Allow yourself these moments and do so without any guilt.
Today is a new day for you to get back on track (whatever that looks like for you) and to reflect on the positives and the fun you had.
P.S. I will be having that Easter egg with a cuppa this week, and I can't wait!
💥FREE WORKOUT ALERT!
Join me this Tuesday at 7.15pm on Instagram for a 30-minute live BalletBums SWEAT workout.
You can opt for trainers, socks or bare feet depending on your floor. No other equipment required and no previous dance experience necessary.

Who’s with me?! 🙋♀️
Today I celebrate all the women I’ve trained over the years. These pictures represent just a few of the strong, kind and hard working, women who I’ve learned from and been inspired by.
Women working out together, supporting and celebrating each other’s achievements is a powerful thing.
So this week, grab your best gal pals and get together for a workout, even if it has to be online. 👯♀️
Here’s a little taster video of my BalletBums SWEAT class.
Movements are well explained and performed with high repetitions so you have time to get your head around the steps. Not only will you get a sweaty HIIT style workout, you’ll improve coordination, agility and core strength.
BB SWEAT is at the new time of 7-8pm every Tuesday. Your first session is free so why not give it a go! DM me to book. 📩
Existing clients make sure to book via my website (link in bio) or via the ClassFit app.
Another happy BalletBums client 🤩
⠀
It's so rewarding to see the progression and improvements clients are making when they attend even a handful of my BalletBums classes. I can see visible changes in their balance, flexibility, coordination and strength and I can see them becoming more aware of their placement and technique. ⠀
⠀
A huge thank you to all those clients who have been sticking with it, showing up week after week and working really hard. I absolutely love training you all. Lots more fun classes to come❣️
Thank you for the kind words.

100 Days of Meditation ✨
I've done meditation during the odd yoga holiday and really enjoyed it but I've never succeeded in including it as a regular part of my life. And while exercise is a real mood lifter and balancer for me, my mind is very busy and at times quite anxious at the moment so I'm giving this meditation thing a try for 100 days. Starting with 10 minutes and building up as I go.
I was aiming for 100 consecutive days but was "too busy" on only the second day 🤦🏽♀️, so if I miss a day I'm just getting back on the horse.
I'm 10 days in and I do feel calmer for a while after each meditation. I'm not yet a temple of peace and zen but curious to see the affect it has as I continue.
If anyone is keen to join me for 100 Days of Meditation, please do. And remember, there is no better time to start that right now! Drop me a DM and I can share a guided meditation podcast I've been finding really helpful.
Thanks to who is doing this along with me and to for kicking off my 100 days with her lovely Sunday evening live guided meditation 🙏🏼
It looks like the gyms might not be open for a while so I dug out all the toys. 🏋🏼♀️
There are so many space-efficient and affordable workout equipment pieces you can get to maintain (or begin) your training at home.
Many people have one or two of these items already stashed in the back of a cupboard somewhere but just aren't sure what to do with them.
If this is you, comment below ⬇️ and let me know what item you'd like me to do some demo videos on.
Here’s what one regular client had to say about my BalletBums classes.
Even on a screen, I can see the improvements Hannah has made in the couple of months she’s been doing my classes. She started with just the lower intensity TONE sessions and now she is smashing my SWEAT class every week too. You go girl 💪🏼👏🏼
Rome wasn’t built in a day and progress in physical fitness doesn’t happen over night. BalletBums focuses a lot on proper form and technique, which takes even Ballet dancers years to master, but we revisit exercises from week to week so that you can get to grips with the steps and actually see improvements over time.
Head to my website via the link in my profile to find out more and get in touch to book your free taster class.
