When we say sweets are not the enemy we are advocating that you should eat sweets 24/7 and disregard other more nutritious alternatives. BUT, giving yourself permission to eat sweets without overwhelming feelings of failure and guilt will increase satisfaction and awareness of what you actually like and enjoy while decreasing binge episodes!
You can still Enjoy your sweets while being attentive to your health âșïž

You are AMAZING just the way you are!
Remember,
1- you are allowed to love and respect your body and still want it to get better!
2- the number on the scale is just a number
Happy Womenâs Dayđ
Many of my patients tell me they refrain from eating pizza, dough, etc. to lose weight. BUT this is completely unnecessary!
Itâs caloric deficit that leads to weight loss and not omitting certain foods from your diet!
In a healthy plan all foods should fit!
PS: my favorite food is đ! What is yours?!đ
When binge/over eating a type food, a person usually consumes all the quantity he can because the next day he will restrict again! But, Why?!
Food is always available. Any type of food you want/crave will be available any day. So why remove the enjoyment, and eat until feeling discomfort when whatever youâre eating will always be available and you can still enjoy it the next day if you want!
A healthy plan should include your favorite foods regularly so you wouldnât feel the need to go all in every single time.
Did that make sense?! Let me know your thoughts!
Recently, more and more studies are showing that breakfast is not the most important meal of the day and itâs okay to skip it for some people!
1. The term breakfast literally means to break your fast. So if you donât wake up feeling hungry, you donât have to eat right away, you can simply delay it!
2. Itâs okay to skip breakfast as long as this does not negatively affect your day. So, as long as you can function properly, have enough energy, donât reach lunch feeling hAngry, can concentrate well, feel physically good, etc. you are ok to skip it
.
At the end, if you are a breakfast person, enjoy it, and try to have a nutritious balanced (carbs, protein, fats, fiber) breakfast to kick start your day and if youâre not a breakfast person, either delay it or skip it depending on your stateâșïž
One of the most frequent questions i get!
đ€
Now tell me, would you rather reach your calculated âidealâ body weight for a few weeks, months, etc. While always feeling the pressure to maintain it?
Or, would you rather be at a healthy happy weight that you can maintain easily while enjoying your life?!
A diet that really benefits you, that you can follow long term, that helps you lose weight and keep it off is a diet that includes all your favorite food!! Yes all of them!
Donât keep falling into this never ending cycle!
Now you have an idea and can reflect on your reason why?!
To helo you a bit more here are so@e solutions to these problems:
1- eat when you feel hungry and donât wait for a specific hour!
2- focus on the food youâre eating (smell, taste, texture, etc.). This will increase your satisfaction
3- give yourself time to sit down and eat, so donât eat while standing in front of the fridge for example
4- make peace with food! When you stop seeing certain foods as âbadâ or âforbiddenâ, you will no longer feel the need to go overboard when theyâre available
Let me know does this resonate with you?!đ€
YES all types of bread can fit within a healthy planđ
It doesnât have to be only rice cakes and toasts nor whole wheat or nothing at all!
In a weight loss plan, it depends on the portion you eat, what you feel like eating, and the satisfaction you getđ
All food is meant to be enjoyed without guilt!
Iâm not saying you should eat all the donuts in the world; BUT when you crave it, satisfy your craving, enjoy it and move on!
Itâs not that one donut that will affect your results! Always keep in mind that moderation and balance are đ !
Clean eating is all about eating what is good for your body, mind, and soul! This can be everything from a bowl of salad to a piece of cake!
Nourishment is not restricted to the body!
Yellow cheeses are known to have a higher fat percentage than white cheeses and so they are usually put aside in a weight loss plan. But thereâs absolutely no need for that! Why?
1- you are only eating a portion and not the whole block
2- no type of food would male you gain weight because then why are other high fat food like đ„ or đ„ butter ok in a diet?
3- as long as you are in a caloric deficit, you will lose weight
4- in a healthy weight loss plan all foods fit! You have the right to enjoy the foods you love!
And enjoying food while on a diet is key! Why?!
Because it will prevent you from having future bingesđđ»ââïž
A few reasons why you might be craving sugar more frequently lately.
Having a good relationship with food and accepting that all food is simply that, just food, is key to reaching your goals, maintaining a healthy lifestyle and enjoying your journey!
Always ready to help you reach your goals!
I was watching this series where the girl had to see the doctor because she was feeling dizzy and fainted!
Turns out she was taking diet pills that she bought from a Health store who claimed they had no adverse effectsđ€Šđ»ââïž
1- Always take the advice of a TRUSTED health professional
2- Diet pills mostly work by either curbing your appetite through affecting the central nervous system (simply they mess with your đ§ ) Or by eliminating water from your body! And so the kilos dropping on the scale are actually water weight!
Conclusion: Stop finding short term results in non healthy ways and Start finding the plan that you can actually follow longterm to see lasting results!!
This is a misconception Iâve been seeing a lot with my patients!
đ§ Salt is a mineral that provide no calories so it does not affect the caloric content of the food. Reducing salt has many benefits but calorie reduction is not one of them.
Now to be clear, Iâm not saying you shouldnât eat bezer of you like it but for weight loss purposes you need to watch your portion even if it is salt free.
In a healthy weight loss journey you can enjoy everything you love in moderation đ€
Always happy around cakeđŹ
Hope you had a wonderful Sunday surrounded by family, loved ones, and delicious foodâ€ïž
Sorry to disappoint you!
Food is food, thereâs no food that make you lose weight or gain weight!
Itâs the amount of calories you are eating throughout the day amongst other things that cause weight loss/gain!
Drinking hot water with lemon or even vinegar in the morning (whyđ€Šđ»ââïž) for weight loss is not supported by any scientific study whatsoeverđ
All foods fit in a healthy lifestyle! Thereâs no magic potion! Itâs all about moderation and consistencyđȘđ»
Feelings of guilt are usually associated with a bad behavior; for example: stealing, hurting someone, etc. But eating and enjoying something you like?!
Eating is not a bad behavior! Most importantly we need food to survive. Second, food is a source of joy, pleasure, memories with loved ones, experiences, etc. So food is not only important for the physical being but also the emotional and psychological!
Always enjoy the things you love including your favorite food!
Weâre always being bombarded by millions of messages and claims on social media especially regarding health and nutrition! BUT most of these have no scientific background nor proven efficacy!
Always be aware of where youâre getting your info from! Question whatever seems too good to be true and consult a professional in the field who you trust!
Always happy to answer your questions and bust some myths!

My face around yummy foodđŹ The biggest smile!
Food should be a source of enjoyment, pleasure and good moments!! NOT a source of guilt and punishment!

After the holidays, the gatherings, and the feasts; so many people take drastic unnecessary measures to either get back on track or start a healthier lifestyle.
But short term solutions are not the answer. Finding your balance, a plan that suits your lifestyle, personal needs and likes is the best option!
Why?! Because this is the only way you can be consistent to get and maintain your results!
Count your blessings, memories, wishes, etc. And stop obsessing about your calories.
Detox diets, cleanses, juicing and all these extremely restrictive diets gain popularity before the holidays.. But donât be tempted to hop on this trend because itâs true that you might lose weight on the scale but it will mostly be water weight and muscle mass!
Holidays and holiday foods are meant to be enjoyed! Eating more than your normal for a couple of meals or days wonât derail your progress as long as you can get back on track and continue to follow your regular eating and movement routine afterwards!
Happy international cake day đ° đ§
Always enjoy your cake guilt free!! Remember that in a healthy diet, all foods fit! Even if youâre trying to lose weight!
Contrary to popular beliefs, sweet potato is not ultimately better than regular potato!
Donât get me wrong, sweet potato is amazing and have lots of benefits but so does regular potato!
So Bottom line is, eat whichever one you enjoy or have both and profit from all the benefits!
A Weight loss journey is not supposed to be linear. Expecting this is unrealistic!
Life happens, unexpected events come up, your emotional status might play a role and different million reason.
The most important thing is to stay consistent, get right back on track whenever you feel you arenât, and have patience!
Trust the process, learn from your mistakes, and enjoy all the benefits that will come along!
No single food can cause weight gain (or weight loss), itâs the quantity and so the total amount of food (calories) we eat each day that will determine that effect!
So yes even dough, bread, sandwiches, baguette, manakish, etc. Wonât make you gain weight IF you eat it in moderation!
And the concept that « once i start i canât stop » only comes from restrictive thoughts and once you habituate your body AND mind that this food is available whenever I want it, it would no longer hold that power of you!!
