Being a SIWA is an opportunity to inspire fellow seniors to let tech enrich their lives, through promoting digital adoption and literacy! Along with sharing personal experiences, SIWAs will also get to meet and network with like-minded peers with similar passions, and volunteer at and participate in events.

Eligibility Criteria:
✅ Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents aged 50 and above in 2024
✅ Actively uses technology in daily life
✅ Passionate about volunteering and helping others embrace technology for greater convenience and better quality of life

As a Silver Infocomm Wellness Ambassador (SIWA), Mr SM Syed Ali is committed to facilitating seniors in acquiring digital skills! The Grassroots and community service volunteer of over 25 years is often seen at SG Digital Office’s engagement events, guiding seniors on using mobile apps like WhatsApp and Singpass.
For Mr Syed, helping seniors embrace technology is his way of contributing towards building a more inclusive digital society.

After working in tech for over 38 years, Mr Lim Buan Teng now dedicates his time as a Silver Infocomm Wellness Ambassador (SIWA)! He actively volunteers at various Digital Clubs islandwide, teaching fellow seniors digital skills.
As a seasoned trainer, Mr Lim knows how to adapt his teaching style to suit the needs of his learners. Seeing how they successfully grasp the digital skills he imparts brings him a great sense of satisfaction!

Our SDO Digital Ambassadors (DAs) are always on hand to help seniors ‘branch’ out on their digital learning journey! 🌳
Around 500 seniors from 10 active ageing centres went on a ‘tech-exploration’ last week, as part of Digital Literacy Outings Gardens by the Bay (GBTB), organised by Digital for Life - Singapore partner Standard Chartered Singapore. Aside from learning digital skills, they also had hands-on practice to capture memories of the day and navigate GBTB with ease. But the learning doesn’t end here – participants can continue their digital learning journey and ‘grow’ their digital skills with us!
