Would you like to see a beautiful bridge inspired by a Japanese shrine?🌉

The Ondo Bridge in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is a red bridge spanning a picturesque narrow strait. The vermillion colour is said to be inspired by the O-torii (Grand Torii Gate) of the famous Itsukushima Shrine. In the past, this strait was often referred to as "Setouchi Ginza," in reference to Tokyo’s busy Ginza district, because of the large number of ships and people that regularly passed through it. The bridge was completed in 1961 and was the first bridge to connect Japan’s main island of Honshu with the islands around Kure City in the Seto Inland Sea.
