From studying together at T11 Square to graduating from different universities, this group of friends has stayed strong through it all! 📚🎓
Raye, Hanna, and Nicolas were part of the Diploma in Media and Communications (DMC) (now known as Diploma in Media, Arts and Design), and they would often joke about “adopting” Sam, who was from the Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (DARE).
Despite going on to pursue their degrees at Singapore Management University (SMU), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), their friendship never wavered!
Some of their best memories? Regular trips to the library to play board games and Kinect Just Dance sessions! 🎮🕺
Tag your SP friends and reminisce about the good ol' days. It might just be time for a reunion! 😊

This internship was a game-changer, deepening her passion for innovation and research! 💡🔬
“My biggest advice to juniors in SP is not to be afraid to get your feet wet! It’s never too late to try something new, and by the end of it, you might even discover a new passion!”

In celebration of Teacher’s Day tomorrow, we are shining the spotlight on Clarice Sim, this year’s recipient of the President’s Award for Teachers (PAT)! 💡
Clarice, a Teaching and Learning Mentor at SP's Media, Arts & Design (MAD) School, doesn’t just teach — she transforms learning experiences! With over 11 years of experience at SP and a passion for data-driven education, she’s redefining what it means to educate in the digital age 🚀
Inspired by her own journey from an “invisible” student to a thriving academic, Clarice is on a mission to make sure every student feels seen, valued, and empowered. Her deep sense of empathy and unwavering commitment to her students make her a beacon of light in their educational journeys 🌟
Clarice’s dedication to education extends beyond her classroom. As a Teaching and Learning Mentor, she empowers other lecturers by sharing her expertise in quantitative research, helping them navigate analytics dashboards, and designing better strategies to assess student progress and lesson effectiveness. Her commitment to the purposeful use of data in education underscores her belief that teaching should be both impactful and meaningful. 💪
As one of her students shares: “Ms. Clarice turned Excel functions into an engaging escape room challenge that made learning fun and collaborative. She goes above and beyond, offering guidance in both academics and career planning. The most valuable lesson that I’ve learned from Ms. Clarice is that we should not be afraid to fail, because failure is part of the learning process. Thank you, Ms. Clarice, for guiding us to have the courage to fail and the will to prevail.” 🥰
Let’s celebrate Clarice and all our dedicated educators who make SP proud every day! 👏

Scholar in SP? 🌟 Scholars programme in NUS? 🌟 Currently an Illegal Wildlife Trade Coordinator at Mandai Nature and Co-founder of CITES Global Youth Network (CGYN)? That's Wai Kit for you! 🫡
Wai Kit, our alumnus from Diploma in Integrated Events and Project Management (DEPM), had a fulfilling time in SP under the Singapore Polytechnic Outstanding Talent (SPOT) Programme! He had the privilege of participating in the Youth Model ASEAN Conference (YMAC) and the JENESYS Exchange Programme to Japan, both of which eluded to his deep-seated passion for the environment and his career trajectory.
Wai Kit's motivation to co-found CGYN began when he joined Singapore's delegation at CITES CoP19 in Panama, where he noticed a lack of youth representation among 1,600 delegates. This sparked discussions with the CITES Secretariat, leading to the creation of CGYN 🙌
Singapore later announced the network's establishment in Geneva, and Wai Kit successfully raised $250k to host the CITES Youth Leadership Programme 🤩 Today, CGYN actively engages global youth, sharing updates and planning for the 2025 CITES Global Youth Summit!

Despite only taking up cooking five years ago, David's experimental flair— honed through the scientific principles learned in DAPC — served him well in the MasterChef kitchen. He crafted innovative dishes that pushed his culinary boundaries and explored uncharted flavours 🧠✨.
While David enjoys his work in cancer research, his MasterChef journey has spurred him on to integrate cooking into his lifestyle and work towards a home dining experience.
