With Momentous, NUS Harmonica attempts to examine the different emotions that we experience through life as well as how these emotions affect our perception of time🕗.
NUS Harmonica desires to capture a series of musical snapshots of moments throughout one's life. Through these pieces, we hope to remind the audience of key moments in their lives, and that we are shaped not only by our life experience, but also the moments within it.

Here is a series of AY20/21 Archives to wrap out the previous turbulent AY. Despite the challenges amidst Covid-19, with a stricter restriction implemented for wind instruments, we had managed to achieve three main milestones throughout the year.
Milestone #1: NUSHO-GENUS Collaboration
It marked our first collaboration with another NUS CFA Arts Group and the performance turned out to be amazingly wonderful. The mellow tone of the harmonica and bell-like ringing of the guitar blends well together to produce a harmonious sound that tugs one's heartstring deeply.
The titles of our collaboration with GENUS is as followed:
1. Café 1930 by Astor Piazzolla (Duet)
2. Janine by Albert Raisner (Duet)
3. Libertango by Astor Piazzolla (Ensemble)
You can head to our IGTV or youtube channel to watch the performance videos.
Milestone #2: Virtual Ensemble Series
During the pandemic, a series of the Zoom virtual ensemble was launched in replacement of our annual physical concert. The delivery of this production took plenty of effort and determination in the post-recordings stage as synchronization of videos and audios from individual recordings was tedious. Nonetheless, the final products are satisfactory and hard work was paid off 😇
In this production, we had selected a few pop music and movie soundtracks that are rarely presented in the form of harmonica. The titles of performances of our virtual ensemble series are as followed:
1. Love Confession 告白气球
2. Pirates of the Caribbean
3. Kimi no nawa Medley
You can head to our IGTV to watch the performance videos.
P.S. The recordings were done in August but I like the winter template more so...😅
Archive #3: NUS Arts Festival
With a slight easing in the Covid-19 restriction in March this year, we were allowed to perform as live-action for NAF2021. The chosen performance pieces were classics from all over the world as we hope to recreate an auditory experience of traveling, something which many of us have long so much for🛫
For those who missed the flight in April this year, you are invited to the HERE! Arts Carnival on 19th and 20th Aug. This time, we will bring you LiangZhu Culture Park, where you will find out more about the Butterfly Lovers.
Are you ready to join the NUS Harmonica Family in AY21/22? 🤟🏻
Here in NUS harmonica, we practice and perform in a variety of different settings, be it solo, ensembles or the entire orchestra. We welcome prospective members with open arms regardless of whether you’re a veteran at the harmonica or just looking to try something new! 😄
Mark the dates of the many exciting events lined up for you on your calendars📅! More details will be released at a later date, however feel free DM us should you have any queries.
