๐ Congratulations to our undergraduates Bui Hong Duc and Shashwat Chandra for winning Best Student Paper Award at 2024 ACMโs PODC in Nantes, France! ๐
Their paper, "Improved All-Pairs Approximate Shortest Paths in Congested Cliqueโ, co-authored with Chang Yi-Jun, Michal Dory, and Dean Leitersdorf, shows a major improvement in reducing the number of communication rounds required to compute All-Pairs Shortest Paths efficiently through new techniques. ๐๐
AI trailblazers! ๐ Google Chief Scientist Jeff Dean spoke recently at the Distinguished Speaker Seminar jointly hosted with NUS AI Institute (NAII). The talk highlighted latest trends on AI's future, Gemini models, and real-world applications. A day of fuelling interactions among students, faculty and speakers. ๐
