ASLI would like to express its appreciation and thanks to Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Law for hosting the ASLI Board of Governors Meeting on Tuesday, May 28 and the 21st ASLI Annual Conference on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 May.
The Dean of Chula’s Faculty of Law, Assistant Professor Pareena Srivanit, welcomed the group, which consists of representatives of the 16 leading legal institutions that founded ASLI.
Professor Ryuji Yamamoto, Dean of the Graduate Schools for Law and Politics at the University of Tokyo and Chairperson of ASLI Board of Governors for 2024, opened the meeting. Associate Professor Kelry Loi, Co-Director of ASLI from National University of Singapore, delivered a welcome address alongside Dean Pareena.

Call for Papers - CENTENNIAL OF THE IACL and 5th THEMATIC CONGRESS: ON THE THEME OF COMPARATIVE LAW
The IACL will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a thematic congress in Paris on 15 and 16 November 2024. The three themes are the history of comparative law, the future of comparative law and the teaching of comparative law.

The National University of Singapore Environmental Law Students’ Association (ELSA) invites you to sign up for the Asian Environmental Negotiation Competition!
Proudly supported by Allen & Gledhill, the AENC is an international negotiation competition centered around pressing environmental issues. You will get to hone your negotiation skills against students from law schools around Asia, learn about how to navigate different stakeholders’ interests in solving environmental problems, and win attractive cash prizes! The competition will be held entirely online.
All participants must sign up in teams of 3. This competition is open to students pursuing any course of study (not just law!), but each team must comprise at least one law student, and all team members must be studying at the same university. So feel free to grab your classmates and friends from other faculties to compete together!

National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) is organizing an Advanced Course in Criminal Law from 11-16 April 2022. The course will focus on select advanced inquiries, like history and evolution, punishment and sentencing debates, that are scarcely included in curricula and teaching-learning processes. The sessions will be delivered by Prof. Alan Noorie, Professor, School of Law, University of Warwick and Prof. B.B.Pande, Distinguished Professor, NLU Delhi. The core themes of advanced criminal law would be deliberated in 24 sessions spread over 6 days.
