The Tan Kah Kee Foundation Lifelong Learning Scholarship aims to motivate outstanding ITE graduates to grow and develop in their chosen professions through further education and lifelong learning. The Foundation awards 10 scholarships worth $6,000 each annually.

The National Youth AI Prompt Design Challenge 2024 aims to encourage innovative solutions that address genuine business and educational needs, emphasizing the ethical and responsible use of AI.

Congrats to our student team (Jiaxin Yi and Nigel Tan) who emerged 1st Runner-up in the Tertiary category with their project that focuses on improving the digital well-being of users and increasing awareness of digital threats in their daily life.

It was an enriching Friday afternoon for our Year 2 students from the Diploma in Information Technology and Diploma in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics! They had the privilege of attending the Symposium on AWS CI/CD Pipeline, jointly organized by NYP-SIT and AWS (led by Zhi Hao Lim and John Fan).

Our students gained valuable insights into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Continuous Testing and learnt about real-world success stories of AWS DevOps automation tools. They also enjoyed some light-hearted moments during the engaging and interactive Q&A session, where they had opportunities to address their queries.

More than 520 excited parents filled 2 lecture theatres for our SIT Parent Briefing on 26 Apr evening, where they got to know more about our school and the courses their children are enrolled into. Parents also got to meet and speak to our school Director, Course Managers and Personal Mentors of their children as well as alumni.

An enriching learning journey arranged by AiSP (Association of Information Security Professionals) and WiSAP (Women in Security Alliance Philippines) to the Philippines.

Our students had the opportunity to visit notable organisations like NCC Group Philippines, Trend Micro Philippines, the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), Asia Pacific College, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and the Asian Institute of Management. This visit provided them with insights into the cyber security landscape in the Philippines. Additionally, they had the opportunity to participate in a cyber security workshop led by Wissen International.

Last Friday, 21 NYP students received 4 Gold, 7 Silver and 10 Bronze medals from Mr Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information, for their contributions to cybersecurity at the annual AiSP Student Volunteer Recognition Programme Award Ceremony held in NYP. Kudos to all awardees! SMS Tan also witnessed the signing of 2 MOUs, NYP with AiSP and NYP with Wissen-EC-Council, which offers free vouchers for cybersecurity professional certifications and bond free scholarships to our students. What a great evening!

Yesterday, NYP signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Singapore Armed Forces(SAF) Signal Institute and ST Engineering Mission Software and Services (STE-MSS), witnessed by Principal and CEO, NYP, Mr Russell Chan, Commander, Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Brigadier General (BG) Andrew Lim and President, Digital Systems, ST Engineering, Mr Low Jin Phang.

The MOU signing marks a significant milestone, empowering SAF to leverage data, technology, and analytics for informed decision-making and unlocking fresh opportunities.
