The Empty Stocking Fund (Atlanta, GA)
We support the social, emotional and academic development of disadvantaged youth in our community.
The Empty Stocking Fund is a 501c3 charity organization that has been serving vulnerable populations in the greater Atlanta area since 1927.
Can you believe that Atlanta-area students will be heading back to school in less than a month?! Already, parents have requested free school supplies for 9,250 children and we've partnered with 10 school districts and community organizations so far to get those supplies into the hands of those who need them most.
With your help, we can make sure that everyone who has requested a Student Supply Kit will get one. Please consider sponsoring a student for just $25 — and send them back to school with at least 16 core supplies that their parents may not be able to get for them otherwise.

Check this out! Amazon has a program called Amazon Local Good that provided free transportation of kits for teachers from California to ESF in Atlanta! These kits will be distributed to teachers during the "Thanks a Million" event on May 4th to kick off Teacher Appreciation Week. Amazon Local Good will positively impact the creativity of students across the greater Atlanta Metro area by assisting us in getting these into the hands of teachers to distribute to their students in some of the most needed schools. They do this all for no charge to our non-profit, which allows us to stretch our dollar ever farther! We are so thankful for this partnership with Amazon Local Good for all they do for us and our local communities!!!

Important Update! We're in the final days of distribution and there are a LOT of moving parts making our system hiccup right now but we're working on it!
As of today we have distributed gifts for 16,000 children and we have another 5,000 scheduled to pick up in the next few days. If you are a parent or guardian concerned about your order, please login to your ESF Parent Portal to check your order status. If it is RECEIVED, that means it is ready to be picked up. If it is PACKED or PROCESSING, please wait to come as your order will NOT be ready.
We are working with several distribution partners who are trying to accomodate missed appointments / orders not found on your originally scheduled date and those dates are fluid depending on when we can physically get orders to the site and the partners' ability to utilize space for distribution.
Lastly, if you have already recieved your gifts, please check your ESF Parent Portal to be sure your status shows Picked Up. If it does not, please email us at [email protected] so we can update our records.
Stay tuned! Busy days ahead with lots of last minute changes. Always check your portal for the latest and thank you for your patience as we scramble to bring the joy of the holidays to tens of thousands of children!
Important Updates for Parents! With less than two weeks until the big day we are experiencing incredibly high call and email volume. We're doing our best to keep up but for those who are waiting to hear from us, please visit the Help Center in your ESF Parent Portal for answers to the following common questions and concerns.
What do I do if I missed my scheduled appointment?
What do I do if items from my order were missing or damaged?
