Lucky for Lungs
Lucky for Lungs is a No Limit Hold'em poker tournament for the benefit of lung cancer. Proceeds directly support lung cancer research. Play, Donate, Win!
What a tournament! Six tables strong this month, raising just under $4,000 toward GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer. Our war chest to fight lung cancer has grown $10,000 - all for research! This event was possible through our tournament sponsors, Cook's Radon-Radon Mitigation Specialist and Green Basements & Remodeling, thank you.
We'd like to acknowledge support for Team Draft and ALK Positive for working hard at lung cancer awareness. Finally, we MUST thank our generous hosts Little Kings and Queens and Tannery Row Ale House, couldn't do it without you!
Countdown begins -- the November 16th tournament is almost here. November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, a time to speak up and uncover the fact that lung cancer is the deadliest cancer and the least funded! You, We, Us...can change that. The GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer and Team Draft force that change every day!
Play. Donate. Win. Many thanks to our tournament sponsors Cook's Radon-Radon Mitigation Specialist and the amazing Laura Green at Green Basements & Remodeling! We couldn't change the face of lung cancer without our hosts, Tannery Row Ale House and LKQ Charity Poker! See you on game day!
The results are in! You surpassed goal and RAISED the stakes against this ugly disease. You doubled expectations by raising $6,040!! Proceeds directly benefit the GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer. Thank you Shane Maxwell and team at www.littlekingsandqueens.org for hosting this event.
See you November 16, 2019 at 1pm at the Tannery Row Ale House in Buford GA for our follow-up tournament!

"Kids are our future so let’s invest in them. Kids need more than just textbooks to determine their place in the world and their role in it. As the next generation, it is up to them to make a change and our responsibility to aid them where we can and encourage their dreams not only for them but for us as well." -- Shane Maxwell, Founder. If you have lungs, you are at risk. Anyone can get lung cancer.
Lung cancer is the #1 killer in the world. Our mission is to make lung cancer a chronic disease.
Lung Cancer receives the least government funding for research. Lung cancer kills more people than breast, prostate, colon, liver, kidney, and melanoma cancers COMBINED.
Think only smokers get lung cancer? Nearly 60% of those diagnosed with lung cancer are people who have NEVER smoked or are former smokers. Lung cancer surpassed breast cancer as the #1 cancer killer for women in 1987. Anyone can get lung cancer.
With your participation and fundraising efforts, you are helping to change these statistics and to transform the future of lung cancer treatments.
