The law library is all set up for the College of Law’s Day of Service Letter Writing opportunity! From today through Tuesday, feel free to stop by, write a letter (or two!) for these organizations, and place completed letters in the labeled boxes (no need for envelopes). Happy writing!

It’s day! In Atlanta, the eclipse will last from 1:45pm-4:21pm, with peak visibility at 3:04pm when up to 85% of the sun will be covered by the moon! Join us out on the 6th floor terrace at 2:30pm to view it together. We will have glasses available at 2:30pm at the event.
It’s National Poetry Month! To celebrate, the library is hosting a ‘Find the Poem’ contest. Head over to our instagram page every Wednesday for clues on where the poem is hidden. Happy hunting!

Happy Leap Day! To celebrate this once-every-four-years occurrence, the library has set out pens, paper and envelopes for students to write a letter to their future selves — to be mailed one year from today! Drop in to the 5th floor anytime today and write yourself a letter.
Our third legal figure we are featuring this is Charles Hamilton Houston! From mentoring Thurgood Marshall to paving the way for Brown v. This week, the library continues our celebration of legal figures in Black history with Pauli Murray! Murray was a legal scholar, author, theorist, and activist for civil rights and gender equality, whose authored works inspired the likes of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Thurgood Marshall. The first figure the library will be spotlighting is: Thurgood Marshall, the first Black Justice on the United States Supreme Court.
