Champions are a select group of leaders in Georgia who commit to a year of civic engagement to strengthen community awareness, support effective programs, and bring diverse partners to the table. The program provides regular offerings for professional development, leadership, and networking. Throughout the year, there will be opportunities to develop an advocacy action plan, followed by the implementation of advocacy events with the support of a stipend.

Grantee Spotlight: With BOOST funding, LaAmistad has grown its afterschool staff, including specially trained reading specialists and tutors who provide one-on-one academic instruction and wellbeing support for participating children and youth, focusing on mathematics and reading. Each year, our community partner, VOX Teen Communications, offers a teen-informed, strengths-based statewide survey to provide real-time data from youth to understand their afterschool activities, communication preferences, and mental health needs so that we can better reach and serve them!

Please encourage the youth (ages 11-20+) that you know and serve to consider taking this mobile-friendly, anonymous survey!

Participants can provide their email address to be entered into a drawing for a gift card (even while remaining anonymous).
