I'm really enjoying "Exalted" by Doug Goodin. The book is challenging me to exalt Jesus Christ in every key aspect of life. I read chapter 2 "Firstborn" to the family this morning and it sparked great conversation. Also, Chelsea and I have slowly read through his book on marriage which has really helped us. DTMG DAY 3 RECAP: So much happened on our final day of the 6th Annual Declaring Truth @ Mardi Gras! Here's some highlights. Dwayne rode up to us on his bicycle near the ferry. He is a devout Roman Catholic. We shared a ton of Scripture with him in gentleness and really listened to him. We just kept going back to the Word of God and he confessed he didn't know the Scriptures well. We encouraged him to dig into the Word and to compare the teachings of the Vatican to Holy Scripture. Dwayne said he'd be willing to deny a tradition if not found in Scripture which is a huge WIN! Joe came out of nowhere and asked for prayer. We evangelize him, prayed for God to save him, and then he asked for money. We gave him food and water and encouraged him to return to the nearby shelter. TEARS ON BOURBON STREET! Michael fell under strong conviction at the preaching of the cross. With tears in his eyes, he expressed desire to rid his life of sin and turn to Jesus for forgiveness. After much counsel, he received prayer and a Bible. So many people on Bourbon claimed to be a Christian in the midst of so much debauchery. We lovingly challenged them to consider how light is to not fellowship with darkness. Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep my commandments." We praise God for a wonderful 3 days of fruitful street ministry and pray for God to send more laborers into His harvest. Thank you to all who prayed and provided for this mission trip!

DTMG DAY 2: We preached on the corner of Canal & Royal today. The Lord blessed us with several fruitful gospel conversations yet again! Even got to encourage and pray with other believers who were working in the area. At the very end of our outreach, "D" walked up during the preaching to repent of her sins and follow Jesus! Wow! We're thankful that her grandmother has been praying for her and sharing much truth with her over many years. She received counsel, prayer, and a new Bible tonight. D wants to meet Jeffery Faulstich at his local church this Sunday. Praise God! Please pray for D to receive the Holy Spirit, be born again to a living hope, and bear fruit as she abides in the life-sustaining Vine, our Lord Jesus Christ.

DTMG Day 1 is a wrap. God blessed us with fruitful interactions on Bourbon St.! Hundreds of tracts and 2 Bibles distributed. Please keep praying saints!

"The word of truth, the gospel of your salvation" (Eph. 1:13) was proclaimed this evening at Essen & Perkins in Baton Rouge and many people showed thanks with honks and waves. One girl screamed repeatedly, "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you." Jesus guaranteed that the world would hate us. They hate Him, so they will hate all who follow Him. The world will hate you if you represent Jesus well, becoming more and more like Him, and communicate His Good News message faithfully. Praise God! God's free offer of forgiveness through Christ was preached to that lady and to all. Thankful to Jack, Grady, and Bennie for joyfully participating.
