The Lord is always watching us with mercy, [always] awaits us with mercy. Let us be not afraid to approach him! He has a merciful heart! If we show our inner wounds, our sins, He always forgives us. He is pure mercy! Let us never forget this: He is pure mercy! Let us go to Jesus!"
~Pope Francis

IV Domingo de Pascua
The Cathedral Choir sings Music Director Richard J. Clark's setting of Saint Thomas Aquinas' "O Sacrum Convivium" — English translation by Alan Hommerding.
O great, sacred feast of life,
in which Christ is here received;
recalling now the memory
of his holy passion:
Souls are filled with grace divine
and our future glorious life
is the promise given.
Alleluia!

The Cathedral: Serving the Archdiocese and Boston’s South End
The Cathedral of the Holy Cross is the mother church of the Archdiocese of Boston, the seat of Cardinal Seán Patrick O'Malley, and a parish to the South End of Boston.
Led by our Rector, Very Rev. Kevin J. O'Leary, and the pastoral staff, the Cathedral of the Holy Cross serves a large and diverse population with regular Masses and sacraments offered in English, Spanish, the Extraordinary Form in Latin, and the Ethiopian-Eritrean Rite in Ge'ez.
The Cathedral parish is active in the community, including operating a regular food pantry ministry, offering free flu shot and health clinics, hosting musical concerts open to the public, and more. The Cathedral High School adjacent to the church has been providing high-quality Catholic education for Boston's most underserved and economically-disadvantaged populations since 1926 — currently serving more than 335 boys and girls of all faiths in grades 7 through 12.
Designed in the gothic revival style by Patrick Keely, the Cathedral broke ground in 1866 and was dedicated in 1875 by the first archbishop of Boston, Most Rev. John Williams. It is home to the largest Hook & Hastings pipe organ, opus 801, installed in 1875.
