10a-11:15 – Opening Circle, Guided Meditation, Awareness Yoga, and reflective journaling prompts to connect to your deepest Truth based on the yogic philosophy of Ahimsa and Satya

We will practice new ways of thinking and moving that support the clarity you gained from the earlier part of the retreat. You will learn personalized affirmation, movements and beliefs that will support the deepest Nourishment of Your Soul (True Purpose)

Taoist Master Mantak Chia has taught the inner smile for the past 40 years. He explained its significance to me on my recent visit to his Thailand retreat, “In ancient China, the Taoists taught that a constant inner smile to oneself, insured health, happiness and longevity. Why? Smiling to yourself is like basking in love: you become your own best friend. Living with an inner smile is to live in harmony with yourself.”

The smiling energy emanating from Mantak Chia was reminiscent of enlightened souls such as the Dalai Lama. He has an aura of contentment and kindness that put me at ease immediately. Mantak Chia also explained that as sickness starts from negative emotions settling in the organs, the inner smile breaks this cycle.

“By transforming destructive emotions into positive energy the inner smile removes the cause and symptoms of disharmony,” he said."

Our curriculum is primarily designed to offer participants a Foundation in Yoga Knowledge as well as a powerful Self Development expereince that will prepare them for the journey of a yoga student and teacher, private practitioner or mind/body professional. We encourage practicing yogis to attend this training to deepen their understanding of yoga from asana to pranayama to Samadhi.

The Chattanooga Yoga Center is led by dedicated and attentive full-time yoga professionals who will prepare you to enter a studio classroom with confidence. Our practicum is like no other. Upon graduation, you will have sequenced and taught multiple group yoga classes and private sessions. If your goal is simply to deepen your practice, we offer an unique self-development program that anyone could benefit from and bring into any profession or personal life experience.

Students will practice a spectrum of asana classes and learn the philosophical foundations of this amazing mind/body medium.

Our goal is to offer a deep dive into self-development and an experience that exceeds our students’ expectations. We are proud to bring you an integrative curriculum that surpasses the standards for Yoga Alliance Registration.
