Try progressive overloading in your strength-based workouts to gain strength, encourage muscle growth, and build endurance.
Progressive overload training is a type of strength training that gradually increases the intensity of workouts to avoid a plateau in muscle mass and strength. The primary benefit is that it helps prevent a person from reaching a point where their exercise regimen is no longer challenging or effective.

๐ Name: Hannah Hussey
๐ Hometown: Doylestown, Pennsylvania
๐ Fun fact: I have nine tattoos, one of which is on my entire back, that I got done in one sitting spanning over 8 hours. Immediately following that, I spent 3 days at Ultra Music Festival.
๐ Why BHF: I was a member at Body High for 2 years before I started coaching. The coaches, atmosphere, and overall attention to form made me stay. It is a tight-knit community and there is something about blasting Low by Flo Rida on leg day while everyone does squats that makes my heart happy.
๐ Go-to Playlist Genre: OHHH this is hard. Throwback EDM or Pop Punk.
๐ Favorite muscle group to train: Legs, Glutes, Abs!
๐ Favorite Thing about Chicago: Chicago summers! The weather, the patios, boat days, and friendship in the sun.
Growing up, Hannah always pushed the envelope when it came to fitness. Being a competitive tennis player for over 10 years, she consistently looked for opportunities to challenge herself not only on the court but in the weight room. CrossFit was introduced into her training regimen, and she never looked back. For 8 years Hannah traveled around the Midwest and East Coast competing in various CrossFit and USA Weightlifting competitions eventually qualifying for the North American Open Series. After moving around to 4 different states for work, Hannah finally settled down in Chicago with her husband Robert, and two dogs Laura and Nala. Knowing her love for fitness and anything with a barbell, she decided to take a step into Coaching so she could empower others to achieve their fitness goals. Hannah currently holds her Group Fitness Instructor Certification, Personal Training Certification, USAW Level 1, Crossfit Level 1, and Opex CCP.

Join Coach Erica for a 2-3mi โfun runโ and speed/agility training in Wicker Park. Runners are encouraged to run at their own pace on a route destined for Wicker Park. We will do a quick stretch/calisthenics routine, followed by some speed and agility work on the ladders/in the field. Donations are optional. Come run, come all!

๐ Bio: Eric's fitness journey started in 2013, he fell in love with group fitness mainly because of the community, (fun fact he still dislikes burpees up to this day). A Lululemon Ambassador, Lululemon Studio Resident, a certified spin instructor, CrossFit, and HIIT / HIFT Coach, his classes will surely make you work hard with intention, smiling through it all. Outside the gym, he is the founder and president of AAPIi Club, a community-driven organization that aims to uplift and celebrate the Asian American Pacific Islander Community, and a digital designer for brands. During his free time, he loves biking around the city, traveling, and hanging out with his dog, Chunker

According to a recent study (linked below), men who can do 40 push-ups or more have a 96 percent reduced risk of heart disease compared with men who can do less than 10 push-ups. Push-ups are a better predictor of whether a man will get heart disease than an aerobic treadmill test. ๐๐๐
