We will reopen on Monday, June 24th at 11am.
Juneteenth, officially Juneteenth National Independence Day, is a federal holiday in the United States. It is celebrated annually on June 19 to commemorate the ending of slavery in the United States. The holiday’s name is a portmanteau of the words “June” and “nineteenth”, as it was on June 19, 1865, when Major General Gordon Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas at the end of the American Civil War.
Juneteenth is a day of reflection, restoration, remembrance, and celebration.
Happy Juneteenth!

Our Story
Celebrating 10 Years of Representing Columbia Artists!
Presenting the best of what Columbia College Chicago’s students, alumni, faculty and staff create.
Mission
ShopColumbia at Averill and Bernard Leviton Gallery serves the Columbia College Chicago community by fostering the representation and sale of professional work and talent from multiple creative fields. As an extension of the classroom, the Shop supports students by providing a professional environment to hone the process of presenting, marketing, and selling work to the public. Through community partnerships, ancillary programming and representation of alumni, faculty and staff, ShopColumbia bridges professional practice with the student learning experience.
History
The Department of Exhibitions, Performance and Student Spaces (DEPS) opened ShopColumbia on October 16, 2008 to provide students a commercial venue for showcasing and selling their work. Since opening, ShopColumbia has represented over 1200 emerging student and alumni artists and facilitated over $350,000 in revenue for Shop artists.
With increased demand by both artists and customers, ShopColumbia merged with the Averill and Bernard Leviton Gallery spring of 2017 and moved from 623 S Wabash to 619 S Wabash Ave. The larger gallery space blends the fine art and design focus emboidied by the Leviton Gallery with ShopColumbia's learning laboratory model.
ShopColumbia features fine art alongside handcrafted and designed merchandise by Columbia students, alumni, faculty and staff. Students earn 75% of sales and faculty, staff and alumni earn 50%.
