Assists women & girls parenting through trauma. Providing support through education & direct services
LipGloss for Love was founded due to the growing rate of teenage dating violence. It is believed that early intervention is the best method to learn the signs of danger and reach out for help. Awareness of the danger and mental distraction that abuse causes can save the lives of our children. The knowledge learned will forever be within them and they will know that safety is always first.
At LipGloss for Love, we cherish our family connections and believe in the power of service in all collaborations and partnerships. Our college interns receive comprehensive training and are well-prepared to enter the social work field, with a strong understanding of micro, mezzo, and macro practices.
Social Work is essential and preparation is most important for families we serve.

"Domestic violence leaves scars that are often invisible. PTSD is a silent burden many survivors carry. Let's raise awareness and support those affected. "
June is PTSD Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. PTSD affects millions of individuals who have experienced traumatic events, including veterans, first responders, and survivors of abuse or disasters. This month, let's come together to support those affected by PTSD. By spreading knowledge, promoting understanding, and encouraging open conversations, we can help reduce the stigma and provide a network of support. No one should have to face PTSD alone. Reach out, listen, and lend a hand. Together, we can make a difference.

Alright ladies, let's have an informative chat!
The return of your period after giving birth can vary, typically occurring between six and 12 weeks postpartum. 🩸
Exclusive breastfeeding can delay menstruation until solid foods and other milk are introduced. The hormone prolactin, which aids in milk production, can lower estrogen and progesterone levels, reducing the likelihood of ovulation and menstruation. 😱
Following childbirth, it is common for women to experience heavier periods than pre-pregnancy. Additionally, they may encounter new symptoms such as intense cramps, nausea, and discomfort during bowel movements.
It's natural to not feel like yourself for some time as your body adjusts back to its regular routine. Please be patient with yourself and give yourself grace during this transition. It's okay to take things at your own pace and allow yourself time to fully recover.🤲🏾 💕
Always remember to reach out to your provider if something does not feel right to you!
Trust your instincts and take care of yourself, mama.
Listen to your body and prioritize self-care. 🦋

“Suicide is a very complex health issue, yet despite it’s complexity, it can be prevented. When su***de is talked about safely and accurately, we can reduce the likelihood of its occurrence.
Identifying people who may be suicidal is an integral step in preventing su***de in addition to taking an active role in connecting them to help before they take action to end their lives."
