From the SourcePoint family to yours...we wish you a sparkling Fourth of July filled with pride, honor, and fun. Let this day be a reminder of the freedom we enjoy and the brave heroes who made it possible. ❤🤍💙
July is National Hot Dog Month. People in the US will consume millions of hot dogs this month and throughout the summer. Our friends at Partnership for Food Safety Education give THREE crucial pieces of advice to keep your hot dog days of summer healthy and illness-free:
🌭AVOID CROSS-CONTAMINATION of raw hot dog juices on cooking utensils, food prep surfaces, or other items in the fridge.
🌭STORE HOT DOGS FOR UP TO ONE WEEK in the refrigerator once the package is opened, and up to two weeks unopened. Make sure the fridge is cooled at 40 °F or below.
🌭Even though they come fully cooked, HOT DOGS SHOULD BE HEATED UNTIL STEAMING (or to an internal temp of 165° F) to prevent listeriosis.
For more info on food safety (and 3 unique hot dog recipes that go beyond the standard ketchup and mustard), visit
Hot Dogs with a Side of Chill July is National Hot Dog Month and National Hot Dog Day is Wednesday, July 17! This summer, people in the United States will consume millions of hot dogs at family BBQs, restaurants and amusement parks.
