Did you know that carbonated water is highly acidic!? SodaStream, and other carbonated beverages are very popular, but could they actually be damaging your health in someway? The human body is meant to maintain a slightly alkaline level overall (7.4 pH). That’s why eating , plenty of alkaline foods and drinking alkaline water can be so beneficial. In this picture it shows the pH level of carbonated water.

From left to right: Alkaline water directly from Kangen filter (9.6 pH). Carbonated water (3.0 pH). Originally Kangen filtered Alkaline water that had been sitting in the SodaStream bottle for a couple days (5-6 pH).

Even being in the soda stream bottle that wasn’t yet carbonated was slightly acidic.
This is not necessarily a harmful thing, if drinking carbonated water in moderation.
The high acidity level may actually help food digestion while eating because the stomach is highly acidic.
Acidity is not inherently harmful for our health, but too much acidity leads to disease. Alkalize for Life!!
