The Thanksgiving Day Buffet is less than 2 weeks away. This annual tradition in the Twin Ports started out by serving those who were homeless and in need of a warm meal. Now, it has blossomed into a feast that can feed over 6,000 individuals.
If you or someone you know is homebound, you can request a home-delivery meal. Please get your request in by Friday, November 17 at 5:00. It will be delivered on Thanksgiving Day by members of the 148th Fighter Wing, UPS or Mayo Ambulance Service.
Everyone is welcome at the DECC for the free dinner event--no matter your income. There is even free bus service to the event on Thanksgiving Day courtesy of Duluth Transit Authority. Visit www.css.edu/thanksgiving for more information.
We did it!! We met the Kolar Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac $25,000 match and we were able to purchase our program truck yesterday! Over $181,000 was raised through our Northland Adaptive Recreation Shoot For Fun in September.
Thank you to our participants, donors, volunteers, sponsors, The Miller-Dwan Foundation, and our staff. Together, we will continue to impact those in our community who need our help.
